'32 Roadster for a grand?

A friend of mine tells me bought this off eBay no less for 1000 bucks. Another friend swears he did as well. Something just doesn't smell right here. Anyone else ever see these pics???? I smell a rat, he swears it's 'the buy of a lifetime....' For his sake, I hope he's right. It's only a grand, but.......

He won't give it to me. Lives in Cali, I was hoping someone had seen these pics and knew of a scam or maybe they're just pics of someones find. ;-)

 

Tell him to hand the green over when he gets the car and title IN PERSON.
If the money is going electronically somewhere, like Nigeria, he'll never see more than the photo of someone elses car.

 

Pics worked fine for me, and I guess I could see someone getting lucky enough to get that for that kind of money, I know I sure would have jumped at the chance.

 

I can see the pics just fine.....If he bought it off Ebay for $1000, it sure wasn't listed as a '32 Ford roadster....It's not April 1st is it?

Sure...anything's possible. I bet it wasn't listed as a 32 Ford Roadster. Slddnmatt just missed out on a 51 Mercury cause it was listed as a 51 Merc,instead of 51 Mercury.

I agree. It looks like a 39 or 40 windshield,not a 32.

 

let's look at the facts.

that oil filter is worth at least $250
that grill shell is worth at least $250
4 decent KH wheels are worth at least $400
even is you scrap the body/frame, that's your $1000 total.

ive seen old pics where some guys would mould later model windshields to their roadsters but thats an easy fix with a good cut off wheel

 

He got to it quick with the buy-it-now.

Btw, that looks like a 32-34 Auburn dash. That alone would be worth 500.

Looks to me like he already got it based on the feedback. Wow..... I heard about it from another friend from Australia, don't think he wants to sell it. The more I look at it the more I like the windshield. kinda weird, kinda ugly, kinda cool. Unbelievable. Guess we need to watch eBay more. Notice only 8 people looked at the auction???

That's insane I can't belive that guy would sell it so cheap, if you look at his other auctions he has other car's and parts for sale and he is getting real prices for them but hell a 32 roadster let's just give it away.

He just sent me pics of it with him, his family, and it on a rollback. It's for real. WOW!!!! Good for him. He's a nice guy and deserves it. My main reason for the post was to make sure he didn't get ripped. Couldn't have gone to a better home (other than mine ) He's a dyed in the wool Hot Rodder. I think I would drop in a mill, get it starting stopping and running, make everything work and stop there. KILLER time capsule, I dig the windshield.
Yes, I have asked to buy it - I would doubt he will sell it, but I gotta try. I will update you with the outcome of that. Now that we know the eBay item auction #, let's not inundate him with messages, please? Pretty amazing , eh?

 

what do you mean" looks wrong' ?,does the Word " C-U-S-T-O-M " and the period known as "P-r-e-W-a-r " mean much?
Not only is that so cool it's history on wheels! .Just lets hope the windscreen ain't removed so it can be "turned back to stock" like the persons who unchannel cars are want to do.
To remove that screen would WRONG!.
And that looks like a MG TC or TD in the background,another big money car in any condition.
