And we were lucky enough to get them to open the show! Dont miss the Pinks! Gin Palace Jesters(Chicago, IL) http://www.ginpalacejesters.com/ http://www.myspace.com/ginpalacejesters Chicagos original honky-tonk fools, the Gin Palace Jesters are purveyors of the finest in hard hitting hillbilly Honky-tonk, Country Boogie and Western Swing. heck, I'm not even ready yet! The 59 still isn't running and the Econoline still doesn't have a motor... but I still have 2 months! I think I'll SPAM my own SPAM post... piggyback SPAM... The Hot Rod Hucksters CD Release Party for our new full-length CD, Beer Songs and Mediocre Broads, will be Saturday, September 29th at the Horseshoe in Chicago.
Oh BTW, that gal in the Gin Palace Jesters is HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!!! No, I'm not kidding - AAAAARRRRRRRRRROOOOO!!!
Well, since Hellfishy spilled the beans, YES, our cd release show is Sept 29th... http://www.myspace.com/horseshoechicago ... which means we will have the new cd for sale at the Pileup! I hope y'all dig it. We have been working hard on the disc and I think it is sounding pretty good. I know alot of y'all have been asking about it, so there you go. And I think I am in love with the Pinks. Don't tell my wife.
I forgot to mention that the deadline for vendor registration is October 1st. There will be NO day-of-show vendor registration. If you want to sell stuff, you need to register first. All vendor spots will be ***igned. Email me at Hellfish@hunnertcarpileup.com for details
Mrs Jalopy and I will be there. This will be her first traditional event. Tobad the 54 will not be done - but my trusty 93 Surburban and travel trailer will be. Jim H.
Didn't get the damn thing done for last years show and, no ****tin', still not totally done. But it will be there come hell or high water. Great band lineup guys! You've outdone yourselves.
Dude! I'm so there. I'll have to agree with Breeder about this disc. I wore the 1st CD out and I've only had it since the S**** Drive. Hell, I think I had it in my car's player for 2 weeks strait. *****in'. The Pinks are dead ***y. Wow! But the're prolly tougher than me and they'll kick my teeth in. Hey Doc, if you need a tailgunner to ride along with you, maybe we can work something out.
We'll make sure there are enough of the new CDs to go around. We may even have a few of the old ones left in case you really, really wore it out! The Pinks are pretty psyched about playing the show. I got some pretty good bands this year. They're all top-notch (as always!) and put on a great show. I know it will be easy to skip the bands to see all the cars, but try to stop by and watch each band play for at least a little while. The first and last bands at the show tend to get the smallest crowd, so show 'em some support. You will NOT be disappointed!
Pops, da Kid, and I will be there,, missed last year, aint gonna make that mistake again. Moms lives in Morris so the rent is cheap!
more like whats not wrong with it! it needs all new brakes for one [ask gordon [roadkiller on here] how bad they are!!! leaks gas [bad] leaks oil [even worse] like a quart every 40 miles! im goin to put a whole new driveline in it this winter. disc brakes, 6 out of a 77 nova, new 350 turbo, modern rear, and vintage air, heat! ohh and get the wipers workin, and the signals, blah blah.... but im in the middle of a coupe build so im broke as hell! maybe i can trailer up the coupe if its running by then! doubt it will be real road worthy though...like i said....im broke!
