The HAMBANDY update..........

Hey folks,

News for you guys interested in Andy.

The model A is officially on the road to Newfoundland! Andy is stoked!!! And there were boxes that arrived with beauty parts for the build. But best of all the travel dates to Washington are set. They leave here Aug 25th early in the morning and get there after lunch. I have been pm'd by members who would like to see Andy and if you need info please pm me again.

Oh yea, think he is happy camper about the build???

 

I've got the wiring harness and am bringing it to Joplin, who am I supposed to give it to?

I did'nt sell my sedan, I wanted to kick in more... but I sold a coupe project. So I'll send some loot for Andy and some incendentals. Keep on truckin!

Bob, the wiring harness you are talking about isn't meant for Andy's A is it? Look on the running board in the picture. I sent that complete wiring harness to him last week. Donate it for the silent auction at the HAMB Drags in Andy's name.

Oh yea, Andy is hot rodder through and through. And the shirt is indeed bitch'n. The 2nd harness has been worked out 52 henry j is good with it. Yes there was 2 headers...lol.

Cool pic. I was late getting there but Andy was on cloud nine. A few of us went on a cruz later that nite and Andy and his father was in on it.Seem Andy was willing to stay out all nite but at 10.30 his father was a sleepy head.I say if it was up to Andy it we still be out.

Hay Leon? you still game for next Thurday nite or are you a wimp!!

 

VERY cool to see! Not sure of the needed parts-is there a sticky or a link to what is needed for Andy? If so, post it up. I must have something of use to the build that I could ship out.

Well folks.................

Parts have been pouring in, and i can say it has kept Andys spirits up.

Andys 1st day of testing didnt go well, he didnt react to one of the drugs. So today they had to try another and combine the tests. 6hrs of mri's and ct's. They are maping all his vital areas that they will work in.

When i spoke to Chris today he said that "we" were the reason Andy was still fighting, and that his pain meds are gone through the roof....but he still manages to lurk around the site and has his mom carry his magazines around where ever they go.... pretty freak'n hard core for a 12yr old ill boy. Again it was discussed that Andys model a will be traveling to joplin for all his new buddys to drive Andy around it. So everyone better fess up and keep the mojo going Andys way.

Chris wanted me to thank you guys for giving Andy the fight.

Is anyone documenting the build on video? Would love to see how it is coming along. And, maybe one of you artists out there can put together a bad ass t shirt we could buy and the proceeds could go towards his medical bills or something. Or, if the Canadian health care system is free to it's citizens, the money could go towards the build. Just some ideas to raise money. It must be hell, 12 years old can't drive, and have a Model A hot rod. Anyway, keep your chin up young Andy cuz we're all pullin for ya. Somebody send more pics of the build, a lot of people are interested. This story needs to be picked up by one of the magazines out there. Maybe one good deed will turn into many for other youngsters in need. God bless!
