hey does anyone have a blow up or diagram of how to assemble the kings pins in the spindle/axle?I've had them fitted but don't know how all the pieces go together.I'ts the speedway spindle and king pin set for a ford axle........Greg
King pin assembly 37-48 Ford: First slide king pin thru spindle and axle boss dry to insure correct fit. They should slide thru with light hand pressure. Next: Coat king pin and axle boss hole with "neversieze". Install spindle on axle boss. Insert king pin in upper spindle boss with the lock groove facing the axle lock hole. Push king pin into axle boss, grease and insert spindle bearing with the bearing cup shield facing downward (turning part on bottom). Push king pin into lower spindle boss, check for excessive up/down play. Install thin spacer washers on top of bearing if necessary to remove end play. Align king pin lock groove with king pin lock bore, Install king pin lock, v groove to v groove, strike with hammer blow to set, tighten nut. Grease king pin bushings with grease gun . Do not install king pin in a dry axle boss as moisture will create a rust bond that will make king pin difficult to remove for servicing. Hope this answers your question.
Breeder, Sorry - wrong Snake. I guess I should have used full name of Coulmbus Snake. I'm some old fart trying to get a 40 Ford Coupe back together. Still looking for an answer to question on the felts that come with these king pin kits. Thanx.........Columbus Snake

The kingpin has a flange on the top....after putting the flat washer on it, slide the felt washer on.....then the pin is ready to install into the spindle....
