Whats the history of Wide Five style bolt pattern on Fords?

What year did the backing plates change from bolt to pin style shoe pivots?

Thanks to all who can help!

I just found out that 36 drums have a longer snout than the 37-39.
If you are running juicxe brakes, 48 backing plates, 48 spindels the 37-39 front drums are the choice set up, 36 are too long and will not allow you to thread on your spindle nut.

Wide 5s were in use after '39...........on trucks. I have a '42-46 (not sure exactly, yet) truck with wide 5's all around.
