after going for the first time last year, i said i would never miss another. but that was before a marriage break up, a death in the family, the need to find a new place to live, and a kid with some trouble. it's been an interesting year, and i need to stay close to home. next year for sure... ...and will i be driving my A coupe there on it's maiden voyage? inquiring minds want to know, but all will have to wait and see.
I'm not going to make it. Dammit. As it is, I would have had to drive the honda over there, park a mile out, hide it under some leaves or something so nobody would see it, and pretend I'd walked the whole way, as the galaxie is in no shape for a road trip. I've really got too much going on with school and work to take the time to go. This makes me sad. Next year, however, I should have a completely rewired, re-transmissioned, re-rear-ended, and possibly re-engined (I might be BigRed445 by then! ) car, and I WILL be there.

I am not going. I am moving my son into his dorm room tomorrow and getting him ready for his first year of college and putting my daughter into braces has wiped out all the cash reserves I had. I'm not going to make it afterall. My wife is due in about 4 weeks and I'd hate to miss a single moment of our first kid. The drags will be there next year (hopefully) but my first kid comes once in a lifetime. The likelyhood of her going into labor that early is slim but it's enough to keep me close to home. Mootz

Well lets see here. I am broke, I got a angry customer that wants his car by tomorrow which aint happening. I got plenty to do at the house. My daughter is missing one of her points rodeos. I aint taking a hot rod, the list goes on and on, But above all Too hell with all that. I work to live and have fun with the family. HAMB DRAGS BOUND BABY!!!!!!!
