Wow what a strong start this week!

Coupe-De-Cab: good to see you branching out… keep it up! Tingler: Do more that size! Right on! Zombie: consistently beautiful! Tommy, err ah Diablo: Your stuff is really comin’ along! Surf Monkey: you’re up there with the best photo realist’s! Mr Excite: it’s interesting that you bring up Basil Wolverton, Ed Roth told me that he was a big influence on his art. Shit! Norwell: good stuff, all of it! Custom Corey: Steppin’ out into color land, keep it up! Low Cab: speaking of color, You get it! RockyJr: nice lines, particularly the Beer Parlor!

Man, It seems like I haven’t been able to just sit down and doodle for ages. So last night I finally created some pencil time, and came up w/this…

Felt pretty good just to get the ol’ creative juices flowin’ again, for no other reason then to just have fun at drawing again. No client, no product, just let what ever come out onto the paper just for the hell of it!

Great work everyone! I'm really fond of the pinstriped fridge by RockyJr! I have a really old one at home I 'rescued' from the trash that I hope to pinstripe. Currently it's my liquor cabinet...

I posted a early stage to some posters I was considering making last week. These are not really for the Woodward Dream Cruise, I was justing using the text as a model for nearly any show. i saw so many crappy T-shirts this year that I thought I could do better with some mediocre photos I had on hand. Enough blab, more lookies:

Every Year the local chapter of ABATE has a Poker run to benefit the Make a Wish foundation and after the run they have an auction for all of the drunk "Bikers". This year I donated this stripper on a pole. She actually spins around the pole too!

It brought $1600 for a little girl with cancer......

    What if...
What if you wanted to create the American Interstate Stormer?
Not so much a drag racer but a luxo cruiser meant to gobble up
massive distances in comfort and style.

Perhaps you would start with a '37 Chevy Coupe
and a Mercedes straight 8. Add pontoon fenders
like the record cars Carraciola and Rosemeyer
raced down the newly completed Autobahn in the late '30s.
Pick up design cues from the immensely famous Mercedes 300 SL.
Gullwing doors and exhausts that exit through the body.
Finally, paint it black and yellow; Chevy's corporate colors.

By the way... the three gents in the upper left are
Karl Benz, Gottlieb Wilhelm Damiler, and Louis-Joseph Chevrolet.

    Achtung! Farfegnugen ahead!

    Jeff, I like It! cool!

You just reminded me of one I did back in 1986. Always ment to redo this art with a pro inking job and put out shirt's, never got around to it! All that Mad Hatter stuff is perfect for hot rod art.

:D Hey customcory. Those trucks are making me crazy. I might change my current project to one of your designs. I dig the use of gold color. Is that hard to do? Keep up those wild ideas.

Hey realcustom51, I guess I got the gold looking right, I still got a lot to learn. Not real confident with the use of color.
Those Tom West drawings, drawn with a pencil?, AW-SUM, always liked his stuff. Heres something from another master , Robert Williams, from a May 1970 Rod&Custom magazine. This drawing was always a inspiration. For a long time I didn't know Robert did it, until I noticed where he signed it . I never here anything about this one , but I like it. It's not wild , but it has that Robert Williams style all over it.
    Keep it going!:D

Man another great week! Amazing how this Art Show just keeps bringing out all this great stuff.

I was at the Drags last weekend, but I managed to finish one more up before I left. This one is # 97. I also am just about finished with # 98 which is a 61 Cady> Might be pictures of it tomorrow. Gene
