An exercise in moderation. Fresh from the HAMB drags, the '59 gets some go-fast-scallops. Should shave another 1/2 second off the E.T.

MarkX and TZ taping it up. I did most of the hard work before they got around to it.

    Interesting choice in paint

    One side done....

And the obligatory linelock burnout while tuning the car around to get the other side...

Even got some Hellbound spawn in on the action
    [IMG]

    All done, except some pinstriping.

Had a good time, some dogs and hot links inbetween, followed by the usual fate-tempting session of playing with fire and general mayhem. THEM! Tx

I like the scallops, but I think you should have brought the back one up a little higher on the fender. I did a really quick crappy photoshop to show you what I meant. Not necessarily bring the point that far back on the top though. How's that appliance paint work? Interesting thing I might wanna try too.[IMG]

That was the original plan, but after getting the front scallop done, we didn't want to make the rear one too high...or else it would look like it was climbing over the wheelwell and look like crap. So once we got the top line down in proportion to the front scallop, there wasn't enough room in the middle of the rear one for it to look good.

  9. I like that! Real nice

I think it looks just about perfect.

Tyler...Bring it over sometime between now and PnP and I'll outline them for you if you don't have someone else lined up already to do it. Oh, and nice shirt!

Did you guys wear respirators when you shot that???
Did you sand the sprayed area as instructed on the back of the can???
What about color sand and buff ????

If you would have used the Martha Stewart paint you have it would have lasted forever.

Wish I could have came over for the fun.

Those scallops are only gonna be good for a tenth or two, at the most. You'd need to do the hood to get 5 tenths. It be easier to just ad a couple of stickers to the back glass.

    Truck's looking nice.

  20. Tyler - Nice car. I dig it man. Did I hear you say that thing will move?

Sometimes, I hate you guys. What kind of vision do you have to choose biscuit appliance paint? You must have a magic color wheel or something. that is so subtle, so perfect. Christ! does this mean i got to throw away my day glo lime rattle can away?

I'm more impressed that there is a girl at Tylers house and she conscious.

Naw fer real tho... Looks bad ass.. now get on the "T" done so I can cruz it around TX :D

  29. Thanks for all the compliments, I 've been wanting to do scallops for awhile,
but making it run and drive took precident. I really like the Scallops on Kool
Kat's 60 but wanted something just a little more subltle. I'm not sure if I will
keep them when I paint the car or not.

The appliance paint is what I used when I redid the center of the side spear,
in fact it's the same can of paint, so the colors should match pretty well

Josh, it will get out of it's own way for a 3900# car, I guess I need to come
out to Reynolds next year and show you. :)

Thanks again to my buddies for helping me out and not trashing my place too bad.
