I have 3 old buicks 50-53 and I have been looking for a few decent salvage yards down here in southeast Texas. I live in Houston but I am willing to travel a distance for decent parts. Particularly a dynaflow transmission and various other parts. Are there any out there? Upfront THanks,

Wow- The Buick enthusiasts here have been trying to get rid of them. You won't have too much trouble finding one.

I'd give you mine, but it's still working in the car.

There are lots of '50-'53 Buick enthusiasts here on the HAMB. Do a search for Straight 8 and you'll find all of us...LOL!!

Hi Check out AL BELL or CARS inc or EUGENE REYNOLDS or BCA. Should be lots kicking around. Stay away from the triple & go for the variable ( much better box ) Good luck,

Be aware that the '53 Dynaflow, while sluggish enough, is an improvement over the '48-'52 design.

Try Wheatbelt Buick. Purchased a buncha stuff from them at different times for my 55 and they were always very helpful.

You might try the yards in Schulenburg...if they're still doing business.
I don't know the official names of the businesses, but one old guy's name is Joe, the last name is Kurtz or something similar.
