I had to log on the Hamb tonight under Hambandy to Thank each and every one of you for making my son survive this massive surgery. Yes, it was all of you that pulled him through. "I swear"The last week as we were waiting, he struggled for his life with the severe pain and high doses of morphine every morning to get to this computer to hear all your voices in his mind.If you could only see him through my eyes you would understand how much the HAMB has influenced his outcome.Your words and prayers and small talks about his car gave him the drive to survive.I am so grateful that you took the time to share your encouraging words with him.To all who"s been donating parts to his 31A build that Doc gave him I can"t Thank you enough. In Leons words Hambandy (hangin on to a dream) In my words (Hangin on to Hambandy) No Parent should have to bury their child and you all helped me in not burying mine. Never under estimate the power of the H.A.M.B Thanks again Chris

    Chris,
We can not even begin to understand the struggles that you and Andy have had to go through during his illness. But, we are here for both of you. We will continue to pray that God fills you with his strength and grace and that Andy will be fully healed. It has been our pleasure to be a part of Andy's life, and we have all become better people from seeing the courage displayed by your young son. "Years from now, it will not matter: where we live, or what we drive, or how much money we have made. But it will matter if we have somehow touched the life of a child." God bless you and your family.

    Hey Chris,

Great to see you here...............but Andy will bust your azz when he find out your using his account......just kidd'n bud.

The power of the HAMB is amazing and i have made some great buddies throught it. Yea as i keep saying we are tattooed hairy ass bas asses but that is what the public expects us to be. The big secret is we are awsome people, and that includes our youngest hot rodder.....ahhhhhhhhh you may know him......HAMBANDY. He dont have tattoos yet, but he is the toughest of all of us and yet he is awsome like so many here on the hamb.

Fixing Andy is a job for Doctors, making him happy............thats our job.

    Regards
    Leon

My first prayers were for strength and courage for Andy then for the wisdom and skill of the doctors. I'm sorry I wasn't focused on the family as well. You are remembered and thought of, Chris. You and yours will continue in our prayers well into the time this was just a bad series of events that the details have become hazy and only a few scars remain.

The HAMB has the highest concentration of good people of anywhere.

I worried about Andy all day. I was so relieved to hear the good news. Tell him we are looking forward to seeing him at the hamb drags in 2008.

Somebody break the record I'm stuck on.... This is just plain awesome!

Chris, I just wish (as do many of us) that I was closer and could do more to help. It sucks to be so far away from it all and want like hell to help more physically. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait to see the kiddo at MOKAN '08. I'm sure we can rig something up where Andy can go cruising down the highway at speed with a convoy of us 'tough guys.'

Anyway, good luck to you and yours, and here's to Andy having a quick recovery!

If there is one dry eye or one throat not choked up by all this, that person better get to a hospital. And they better hope our own Doc is on duty or they won't stand a chance.

Chris, keep on keepin' on. You know Andy wants to also.

It always amazes me the effect that children have on adults. One chiild can make an army of big, war toughen soilders turn to wimpering little men, (no offense Littleman). This one child has touched the better part of an army of 32, 516, (as of right now!).

Andy will pull through. Kids like that always get what they want.

Chris, it's obvious were our " little buddy" Andy gets his drive, determination, and his upbeat attitude. With you, and this bunch of hardcore hot rodders standing with you, that little guy will come through this with a unstopable drive to be and do everything and anything he sets his mind to. I have said it before and I will say it again...."we got your back".

  18. Thank you so much for the wonderful and encouraging news. I'll continue keeping Andy in my thoughts and prayers - the HAMB is simply amazing. And Doc's eloquent post is perhaps the most moving I've ever read, thanks.

Wow this is heavy. Why are my eyes sweating? God Bless ya Chris, hand in there, and let Andy know we're still here for him.

  20. Courage is the word I have been grasping for. Andy has got more in his pinky finger than most men will ever know. He's an inspiration and cared for by so many. I can't get over what he has had to go through and kept his spirits up. Andy and the hamb are awesome.

    Chris,
That's nice to hear, there's nothing better than the support of another friend, family member and especially a parent to keep us encouraged, uplifted and to carry on Hope. God is just. Stay faithful and stay blessed.
