  1. DOES ANYONE OBJECT TO AN EARLY START?
I may not get another chance before the week end so...

I had nothing for this week so I took 3 unrelated pieces and related them...The car is an early Photoshop rendering, the back ground is Photoshop messing around with filters and brushes and the guy in the f.g is from a book I illustrated. The guy and the car started as pencil sketches which were scanned in and colored w/ the Photoshop...

Here's one I finished up yesterday. This was one of those paintings you do
that do not seem to be going right, so you put them away for a while to continue later.
Well I started this painting probably 3 yrs ago. Finally done.

Might go back and clean some edges up a bit.

Been cleaning up Moms house getting ready for the estate sale and brought this home.

Not a car thing, but petrol related.

I used to dabble with metal scupture (junk art) so in the 70's, during the oil boom, petroleum decor was the rage. Dad always wanted one of the oil well scuptures in the stores at the time but wouldn't pay the $100+ they wanted for them so I made him this one for Christmas that year.

Great show so far, but then isn't it always!

PS: this is what we use in Oklahoma to suck dead dinosaurs out of the ground so you can drive you hot rods. Your welcome!

Dabbling takes a long time :)

  15. Great stuff everyone; Keep it coming!
Some of you might recognize the '36 Ford that I've depicted in my latest cartoon: I think that roadster looks so-o-o-o-o-o killer!

Thanks for getting it rolling this week Jigger. Nice 57! Zombie, shit thats a nice 54! Heres what I got , might have another, maybe tomorrow. A 50 Chevy with a Mercury grille shell, rolled pans. Get some 50 Pontiac bumper tips for bumpers. Use some pointy tip bumper guards, 40 Pontiac comes to mind, and cut them off to look like teeth. Use them in the grille. Scoop the headlights and the quarters, I should of put teeth in the headlight scoops , in to much of a hurry. Lincoln hubcaps.Black interior with cream piping. Oh yea, cut all the rust out and radius the rear wheel openings at the same time!It would take balls to do that! Prismicolor and ink. Also put the uncolored version and original sketch on too. :D

I just recieved this today. An early work of mine, Like 1968 !!! somebody found ORIGINAL negitives in an old box in an attic, of the FIRST dragster I ever lettered. Like I just took a Time Machine trip .All hand lettered with good old One Shot. Lost what ever I had of this, almost 30 years ago and thought I'd never see It again. It's the Shottgun Express AA/GD out of Paterson,N.Y. Powered by Big Block Chev. Ran 200 flat at 7.52 on pump gas(Sunoco)in '68 . Woody Gilmore Chassis, Paint By George Cerny and Lettered by the Weird one. Also got 15 cd's with over 100 shots on each of Dover Dragstrip . Will take days to look through.
