39 years ago , the guy you know as Roothawg entered into this world. With a C-Gas Racer for a Dad, he was destined for a life in the garage. He owned his 1st truck at age 2 & from there I lost count of his vehicles. No one knows for sure how many cars & trucks he has owned but I know its more than his age today and thats a lot! For those of you who know Root, you know he has a real passion for restoration & racing. His rods are always unique just like him. This is the same guy who has requested that after his funeral at graveside, he wants all his friends to do one last burnout and send him out in a cloud of smoke with his favorite aroma of burnt rubber in the air. He the guy that lives for the next road trip to meet up with some of his boys from the H.A.M.B. & every night dreams that same dream of finding that steal of a deal in some old ladys shed...in mint condition of course. Careful now, a mid-life crisis may try to creep up on you Root. Try to resist any crazy urges that you may get like selling your house and building a shop big enough for your whole family to move into (so you can sleep near all your project cars), or traveling the world in a tear drop trailer that you build out of scraps in your shop .well just be careful. One good thing is that you can check with your Insurance Company, cause you might be eligible for a discount for being antique or vintage. We love you Root and for more than just your flaming Chuck Taylors and ability to talk endlessly about cars. There are no others like you. You are original and an inspiration. Now quit crying you big baby and blow out the candles before the fire department shows up and you better make this one count cause next year is the big one. Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday Chris, ya young whippersnapper! By the way, anyone know what a whippersnapper is? Hope it ain't something bad
Hey Chris, I wondered what that glow on the horizon to the south was. Must have been the candles on your cake. Happy B-Day dude. GV
