for the last 25 years I've known of a stash of cars across my back fence on some flood plain creekbed that is the backside of an old junkyard..at one time there was a bunch of cars, story was the guy had a contract with Kelly AFB (San Antonio) to haul off cars and trucks from servicemen who drove in from the country, went through basic training, got shipped out to WWII and never came back..the property has been abandoned for years. I've tried tracking someone down of authority to give some go ahead without much luck..over the years I've seen two ModelA RPUs and a Tall T stolen off the property, I even went over there and fixed the

fence the thieves cut so cows wouldn't wander in or out..the property has been sold and cleared, it looks like a Bulldozer operator hauled off the 37 Ford sedan delivery I coveted..I'm going in, with a buddy and some 2X4s to carry (about 200 yards to my fence) I'm after the 32 Ford two-door sedan body, also a 30 Dodge Bros. 4D sedan, a 36 Ford 2D sedan and a 39 Deluxe 4D sedan,,those will take some work..any last minute advice? anyone wanna stop me? help me? bail me out? I'm goin in Chuy.....

God speed sir, good luck. Also I would highly reccomend not bragging about your haul after you get it back to your side of the fence. Especially on a medium viewed by millions of people. Still, I hope you save as much as possible.

Its not like I've given a bunch of clues about where and when...I've tried to do this the right way to not much luck, watched thieves take stuff..so screw it, I'm goin in..someone looking at that 32 sedan body would call it petty theft..someone else got in there with tools,WD40, and took one of the fenders off that 36..I guess I'm no better than the rest....

If you ever get in contact with whomever to gain possession of that 30 Dodge Brothers 4 door, I would be very interested in buying it if you decide to flip it. Let me know.

  15. Give me the 32 sedan and I won't tell anyone else about the others.

Pull em over next to your fence, put an old looking temp fence around em. When someone asks, yep their yours! youv'e been a bit cheeky leaving your stuff on no-ones land, but hey it was there and no-one said no. OK, OK, I'll move em onto my land, can you give me a month or so.
However if you get seriously challenged re, ownership/possesion you can just as easily deny all knowledge.

    I can appreciate your quandry.
I can't believe that you couldn't find out who owns the land. Try the tax rolls at your county office.
    Stealing ain't no good...

As good as everyone says "save the tin" its still stealing if its not yours.

You need to track downt he property owner. Its not hard at all to do.

  25. Exactly. I examine property in all over Texas including San Antonio and can tell you anything about the property. If you want to go about this the right way pm me and I can do a search to get you in contact with the owner of that land.

You may want to look into the laws of trover in Texas, that is, the laws of "lost and found". If the current land owner does not know that they are there and/or their worth, there is a chance that under common law that these are your's for the taking, even though you found them on someone else's property. Under statutory law, maybe not. Look into it. Especially with a '32 involved, this might be worth paying for some legal advice.

  27. When I was stationed at Travis AFB in NorCal back in the late 80s, I was driving, a**** other things, a 1976 Triumph Spitfire. It was cherry, white and chrome, headers, dual SU carbs, etc. Anyway, an officer saw it and asked me if I'd restore her 1979 Spitfire. I accepted and went on to cherry it out. Suddenly, she was no where to be found. I never heard from her again. After wondering what to do with no ***le, I parted the engine out, then sold the body to another serviceman.

I never did any time for that crime.

Flood plain? Heck, I'd just claim the last rain washed them over onto your property.
