JDee, you better have a new tune for your video. I'm still having nightmares from last year. See you soon.

No joke. I feel bad and I don't even have to pay for it!
I am super stoked about the Swigart auction being there. I will be at the Hershey auction Thursday night (2 cars going thru) and then the Swigart Friday. It is really going to be an amazing sale!
Or maybe I've had too much RM kool-aid!;) :D

I'll wear my HAMB pin in case we run into each other around there. Plus I will be in my "uniform"-dark green polo shirt and khaki bottoms.

Maybe you shouldn't...if I see it I might have to have it!:D

I can't wait to see it. He offered to let a couple of us here at Hemmings "crew" for this outing, so you bet I'll be right next to it when he starts it up.

I'll be arriving before sun up on Wed.

This will be my second trip to Hershey meet. What are the temps during the day this time of year? When I was there in 2005 it was cool and then wet on Fri/Sat.

Looking forward to meeting some of you at the racecar event Friday.

Will be there Tuesday, God-willing. I've been going since I was 13.

Bart, temps range from 80s to 50s...you never know what it's going to be. Bring every piece of clothing you own, just in case.

Who says rain? It's been HOT for the last few days. The big guys are starting to roll in, saw about 6 million $$ motorhomes Sunday night. The region says they are letting people on the fields at 7:00 tommorow, they usually wait until noonish. I went to the library lterature show today, they sure didn't give anything away. Prices were high. I also heard a rumor Ol' Shel cancelled. Don't forget the Blackhawk Exibit at the motor lodge Thurs. night, it's free.

Nice to meet you Sandybeaches and Goodwood. Nothing like Hershey. If you want a good read from some crybabies jump over to AACA forum. A lot of what goes on at the Hershey show is dictated by other concerns, even federal law. Getting on the show field took me a hour, I know some 1 1/2. BIG DEAL, it will get fixed if it CAN be fixed. I met and got to hang out with some great people this week. That's what it's about for me.

It's not like it is a first year show or even the first time in that particular field. The show was a disaster and I don't really blame people for being pissed off. It would be one thing if it was raining or there were weather issues. The design of getting cars on to the show field was poorly thought through - to put it charitably.

Well, last year everything was OK, until ONE person decided to make all the cars turn right coming out of the show field, just because. CArs ran out of gas, got lost, owners got POed, wrote letters and cried on forums. So given that there's 650 Hershey region volunteers, several hundred paid security guards, and all the AACA Nat'l folks, if we give each of them one mistake it might be a few more years until they have the perfect show. Me, I'm going back. I can't wait for next year.

I had a great time. Thanks to everyone for stopping by my booth to say hello. I was at the race track watching testing around noon but saw no other HAMBers. I guess we are going to need Denise to throw a real meet and greet!
Can't wait 'til next year!

i didnt know what to expect, but had a great response from 99% of the people...i can't believe how man intelligent questions i got and great compliments...
plus i found a way to blow some money and bring home more "junk"

I was there - walked entirely around the stadium, thinking I might have misunderstood the location, but didn't see anybody I recognized.

Exactly....
Like I said to the guys with me, it is hard to recognize people you've never met!
I kinda hung out on the porch near the racecar entrance watching for HAMB shirts between laps but really didn't see any. Next year we'll have to round up a banner or some kind of secret code!

Sorry I missed you Foul, it would be great to meet you someday!

we're planning to have some roadsters there again next year if you guys wanted to have some sort of meeting at the spots where i'll be...
we were sort of right in the middle so it wouldnt be a matter of walking from one end to the other at that time
plus...its easier to find with a car there???

i wish i had a bigger nicer garage since im only a few miles away....I'd have an open house one evening and invite anyone who wanted...saves missing the swap meet during the day
but im sure Megan can vouge for the tiny confines i have now so it really wouldnt work with more then a few people if im in the same boat next year
