Unclee found this, I used to go here as a kid. Way cooler than the new(relatively) Baytown track.

Those are some really cool pictures.

 

I don't deserve the credit, Unclee found them through a Google search.

That strip was cool, as late as the 70s and early 80s, it was still pretty much like the strips I've seen in the old movies, real laid back, we used to park Grandpa's RV in the gravel parking lot and watch from lawn chairs on the roof. Unclee was just the other night, over cold Natural Lights, telling me some cool stories from the old days(he's like 70 years old or something), maybe he'll chime in.
