You know how it goes, I was going to put a thermostat in my Edsel with a 332 FE.
Then I noticed the water pump looked a little crusty. To get at that, I had to move the AC compressor. That exposed the ancient fuel pump so I might as well as do that too...
I pulled the fuel pump and stuck my finger in the hole. Tha timing chain is really sloppy, might as well do that while whole the front of the engine's apart.

The engine is completely stock and I have no plans to mod it at all.

Here's the question for you FE guys,

Should I install the cam straight up, or advance it 4'?

Any preferred cam gear/ chain brand or type?

    Thanks!

Never install parts wrong on purpose thinking you'll improve something - it doesn't ever work.
Cloyes has always made high quality timing sets.

If it's stock, just install the chain straight up.
