We started out at the ****-crack of dawn...MBL's T, and my truck & coupe. We've allready rousted all the neighbors out of bed at this point! MBL lead the way, and Drinkin Lincoln was driving my truck with Sinner riding shotgun, I pulled up the rear in the coupe...no problems on the drive up! MBL's T always had a crowd around it, and it only got called a chevy once, and a rat rod twice! We met a few new HAMBers...Dave from Cocoa Beach...Mack from Tampa... Here's Mack's beautiful 32 with a 392 hemi... Here is a bad *** 40 merc with a big caddy engine... Gary Moore's Totally cool T RPU...a magazine feature car from '61!!! The trip back...Sinner driving my truck...Sometimes racing MBL in the roadster... The final stretch home saturday... Me and MBL made it back sunday in the coupe...still packed, but a lot less crowded with spectators. Kirk from Streamline hooked me up with an adapter for my "HEMI" shift knob! Thanks bro! Those guys are very HAMBer freindly! We had a blast, and if anyone didn't go because they thought it would be all red billet barges....you missed out. There was plenty of that...but a lot of sweet traditionaly styled rods and kustoms!
Dude, thanks again for letting me drive the truck and the A frame you hooked me up with. I had a blast.
Hey Sinner.... Thanks again for coming out. Nice to have you out there tearing up the streets. I know Jon was nervous when were racing . Finish up that A sedan. The NSRA show gets better all the time as people get more interested in the traditional rods. More flatheads each year, more olds rockets, ect. Next year we will have even more Degenerator cars to bring...If you're not done with your ride, we'll definitely have a car for you to drive. Tim MBL
jon' sorry i missed you, we had to leave early sat morning. your car is just too much! great job! dan
Just out of curiousity, when does a guy get hung with the "goldchainer" or "chainer" moniker? After he uses gloss paint? After his new upholstery is done? If his new upholstery isn't 2 Mexican blankets stuffed with corn chips on aluminum "bomber" seats? If his tires aren't bias ply out of round WWWs? If the body on his car has actually had every rotten spot and bullet hole carefully repaired to like new sheet iron? If the paint on his car's body is as shiny and smooth as the paint on the engine, ch***is and wheels? If his chrome-plating bill is like the National Debt just like the rotbox next to him, but his car is shiny too?

I was out there also with my father and uncle. Hell, I probably saw you. I absolutly saw the cars. I will post pix later in the afternoon. My fav one that I have is some 16 year old driving his grandfathers roadster trying to look tough. Great stuff. Unfortunally I saw a wreck on the turnpike around Ft myers involving a cream 37 roadster on Sunday. I had a great time, got sunburnt (I was there all three days) and I learned a lot. If anyone remembers, I was with the group under the tree when you come in the gate and make that first left towards the vendor building. We had a blue and silver 37 Chevy 4 door, a Maroon Model A hardtop, a 40 Merc and then some other guy had a 69 Mustang GT500 KR.
Good to see you again. Sorry I missed Tim, he musta' been in the swap meet or something. Great to see your cars in person. Oh yeah, your hemi sounds bad***. Mike
I resemble that remark!! While you guys were playing, I was working! Osphoed and ready for Corroless 3 questions: #1 Who are you? #2 What the **** are you blathering about? #3 Why are you trying to hijack this thread with drama?
Aw man, please tell me you were not one of the guys that got pulled over Friday night drag racing. I couldn't see the cars but, I heard one p***, then another and then heard the cops a few seconds later. I was at the hotel sitting with the old guys at the time gaining some knowlege.
No...we didn't get pulled over...and we really were just messing around, no real racing. We just both got on the throttle for a bit. Here are some pics in B/W. The T: Dv8's Coupe: Another cool T: Some color shots of that T: It was a great time! Tim MBL
Looks like you guys had some fun. I would have gone, but I'm still enjoying a nice round of Montezuma's revenge from my trip to Cabo. The cars are looking nice there guys. I just got my driver's license back this morning so hopefull I'll have something cool going here myself. Maybe I'll start the slow process of resurrecting the Riv. We'll see. Later.
MLB posted this car but, the trunk was the coolest. Check out the br*** knuckles... I like this one also... Part of my crew
Oh.. I forgot.. The following pix was the highlight of the show for me. Grandpas car and his grandson driving it. This kid will never forget driving this rod...
Thanks...I had to sell two cars to finance that coupe...and I had collected some of the parts for quite some time. I also put in some tough days working on it. I built the truck at the same time...so I was pretty much broke all of last year! It was worth it though!
Would have liked to been there......but I made a 28 hour non-stop round trip to go get my Nailhead from Mondello's instead.
Hey guys, I know I probably saw a bunch of you out there but, I have no idea who any of you are. Is anyone going to River Ranch in January? I know that there are a bunch of people going. My big Brother will be there with his Model A and I should be able to make it there with my Caddy in it's first show.
Howdy southdiver1....I don't know that we are familliar with the River Ranch show...it is possible that we make an appearence with at least one car. Where is it? Did you say that you had more pics of the show this past weekend? Post em! Tim MBL
I don't know how big the River Ranch show is. I know that all of the "local" guys are going out to it. Basically, my dads group. It is in January sometime and I will post with exact dates later this week along with TONS of pictures. By the way, I did see your car and I have several pix of it. It was one of the ones that kept catching my eye along with the red and white coupe with the roll cage.
Here is a quick blurb from http://www.flacarshows.com/central.htm Sponsored by the Sunshine State Rodding News, and held at the Westgate River Ranch Resort, this event features a Friday night Welcome Party, and a Show 'n Shine on Saturday. There's dash plaques, door and raffle prizes, vendors, specialty awards, and full use of River Ranch's facilities. For room reservations, call (888) 808-7410, and use code #14-150. For event info, call Rich at (954) 587-5485. It would really be cool to meet up with some of you guys. I will admit that one day my car will be shiny but, that is a ways down the road. Right now, the progression appears to be: Stock (history) Rat Rod (current) Hot rod (near future) Street rod (when I am rich)
A few more pictures... Just a cool flame job Tapes on flames over primer A true hot rodder.. My uncle trying to fix his headlights on his 32 in the VA parking lot in West Palm at 6:30 AM Me trying to be artistic shooting a line of cars. I am not very artistic.
