Got there kinda late ( 10:30- 11 ) and couldn't believe these were still setting their. Two excellent superior 500 wheels and a cool vintage tach. Anyone one else find something they couldn't live without ? Gary
Well I bought 6 of these hubcaps of $15.00. I was getting ready to leave and decided to take one more stroll through the swap meet. The guy was packing up and lifted up a tarp had been inadvertently thrown on top of them that morning. I asked what he wanted for them and he said $30. I said well all I got left is $15 so will ya sell 3 of them (I wanted them for the garage wall). He said just give him $15 and take them all!!! SCORE!!! I'm having 4 pin striped and gave one to my neighbor. I think I might make the extra one into a wall clock.
Ha, Ha, yea I feel real bad bout that.....Not. There was alot of cool stuff their if I was driving something bigger than the roadster I could've gone home with a lot more. One guy had a cool *** vintage chair still covered in plastic. It was probably early 50's and perfect. Gary
I could have hauled them for ya. I owe ya anyway. I do remeber the chair. I think there was some stuff left there at the end of the day. Unless the guy was coming back.
Bought a good '36 driveshaft and a Cal Custom louvered air cleaner. On Sunday at the Fall Cl***ic swap, I got a 'never used' set of small journal Chevy Mickey Thompson aluminum rods for $20! Also found and bought two sets of 301 Chevy forged pistons with connecting rods and new Isky valve springs for same.
B***, I have pistons that need those rods.....and Vice versa.......we should talk. Nice to meet you BTW.
T....I'm collecting parts to build a Model A Roadster ('29) that is going to have a '56 265 in it, and I'm going to use the aluminum rods in the 265. With balancing, an aluminum flywheel, '57 Fuelie heads and the right cam it should sound like a chainsaw! Anyway, enough of my babbling....nice to meet you as well.
Got a couple of 97's and air bonnets ,banjo wheel and some Knobs . The guy that you got them wheels from collects them. He's a true sparkly wheel hoarder.... I'm suprised that no one bought the Evens or Grancor intakes
Yea he had a lot of realy cool stuff, I was just a little limited on space and didn't want to get any further into my beer money Gary
Tapered and tubular, the kind that a lot of guys used to make headers out of. Fits inside the torque tube.
Brain I saw you going north on 75 Thursday and wish I was going with yall. Met you at GG this year, hope to see you at P&P. Robert
