Well I got my 1940 ford coupe dug out a month ago and decided its time for a new motor. The old flathead is a little tired and it needs a clutch bad. So I have been planning on putting a y block ford in it. I really like the car just want to drive it again. And the 40 pickup is my latest driver. You may have seen me driving it around Portland oregon or washington.

Weren't you selling some really cool dash's on ebay a couple months ago?
I remember a chrome one and a black w/pinstriped one.
    That chrome one was crazy.
Do you have any pics of the cars they came from?
I was thinking if the dash was chrome the car musta been over the top.

Yes that chromed 40 dash is going in the black coupe. I took off the pinstriping and I think it looks better( a little to busy for me). My coupe has old chrome garnish mldgs already and old white tuck n roll so I think it will be cool.

Cool now I know where the black one came from then!
I actually bid on your 4-door sedan. It didn't meet reserve though.
I've got a 40 coupe but have kids so it would be cool to have a sedan too!
    (and a truck!)
    anyway cool rides.

Good lookin' 40's. Be nice if you could find a 312 with thunderbird valve covers for it. Yeah, I know they are getting hard to find. I always wanted a '40 coupe but have never been in the right place at the right time with the coin. Maybe one of these days....
