had a damn fun time at famoso over the weekend, a little rain, way over priced swap meet junk, a drive that took 5 hours to get there and 11 to get home (had to go the long way because of the big truck wreck on 5 then we got a flat in the middle of knowhere at midnight) and it was still one of my favorite weekends of the year. anyways onto some pics. first one wally's ride, thanks for the memories, your legacy will continue on forever. ton of respect for whoever did the tinwork on this bantam back in the day i loved this 32
rick ackerman's rail, we had a good time and if you missed his run saturday morning, well lets just say you wouldn't have bitched about the entrance price if you had seen just that one run. some damn yankee behind the car a little over anxious as this wasn't a pro tree the girls liked the car too must of had something to do with the pink scallops? gene's still got his magic touch as well his new lakes car
tommy osborne's dragmaster 7.88 out of 300ci and 1962 technology the origional dragmaster dode enjoyed the weekend as well honkey tonkin was bitchen, thanks for bringing it over for the show.
nice pictures. I want a 60s era dragster they look meaner than newer styles.I always did like the old pictures of the bias tires expanding to twice their normal size 8 to 12 inches from you face.

Nice pics. I cant believe I was there and keep seeing pictures of cars the I didn't run into. Did you happen to getting any starting line pics of my 55 or the AWB Chevy II?
Nice pics.... hot rods and hot girls always go well together. We need more pics with girls and rods here...
No, because then it gets out of hand and we start seeing more smut then hotrods. Boys will be boys....... I LOVE that black Ford pickem up! Jeez thats clean! DeSoto will love that you took a peekture of his car.......I can hear his heavy man sighs all the way up here.
Thank you for posting the pics, I re read my post and I didn't want to sound like an ingrate or something.
shakey they're some good pics of your car and auggie's nova at http://www.graybeardracing.com/images/2007/chrr_16/chrr16.htm i didn't get that many pics from the line pretty much what you saw, all i had was the racer arm band not a photo/press one so i could only get shots of the cars that ran a couple ahead of us and after us, wouldn't be aloud to stay on the line all day. sorry no more girly pics don't want to piss anyone off but here's a couple more of some random junk shakey and honky on the return road i was a good boy and didn't buy this, but it was very, very tempting
shakey, i don't know if we talked at famoso, so many people and i'm bad with names. i think i talked to half a dozen people who thought i was their brother or something that i still can't place who they are. i think we met breifly before, maybe at that 1320 deal north of pheonix? how did you guys run? i never got to see you make a pass up there. kev i love that chute pack car in your first pic.
Ran the same as I did at the 1320 event. 9.70's @ 133. I was just talking to a buddy about that. The nostalgia deal in north Phoenix is next month.
