I found a sweet little 1937 Ford pickup setting in a lean-to yesterday and ended up buying it. The thing is very complete and nice. The interior is very decent, milage shows 80,000. It has a three speed stick, not the granny-4. It is SUPER SUPER strait. At one time it sat in the back of a paint shop, so it has over spray all over it. It looks really ugly, but alot of it is wipping of with some laqure thinner and a scotch brite pad.......I cannot get over how really clean it is.

This is the best part- at one time someone yanked the orriginal 21 stud in favore for this Merc motor. It too is very clean. This is just as I found it, Acorn's and all. We had it running in a couple hours, it purrs great. Needs some radiator hoses and a fuel pump, then it will be ready to drive up and down the driveway. The mechanic brakes are still on it and work as well.

The sad thing is I do not have the time, space or money for this thing, so I think it may have to go down the road. Anyone need a cool shop truck?

Now that's a nice truck which will make someone a real nice driver.

The 3-speed is more common than the granny 4-speed box in the half-ton pickup trucks.

Thanks guys, I really want to keep it, but I spent the cash without thinking too hard, then it kinnda hit me. Thats the only reason I would sell it, I didn't buy it to flip or anything. It is a very nice pickup, has some rot on the pickup bed floor (factory steel cover over the wood slats) but other than that is is very rust free. The guy I got it from owned it for 10 years, and he said it sat in the paint shop for 25-30 years before that!!!!

I'd sell that damn mail Jeep or the Aerostar van in the yard before I let that truck get away.

    I love it.

A story for everyone: I met Josh when my Dad and I drove to his house (300 miles away) and hauled back a COMPLETE 59AB home in the back of the aerostar. It was a bumpy ride home, but that ugly turd gets like 22 MPG and will haul 9 peopel to any swapmeet!!! My Dad just can't bring himself to jumk it!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I got tons of PM's today asking about the truck being for sale. That was not really my intent. Either way, my Dad ended up buying it from me, and is going to sell his similar 37 pickup. I just listed it in the classifieds if anyone is intertesed.

Actualy, my Pops told me last night that with winter coming, he cannot afford it right now, so it is up for grabs. I will place an add in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
