So if I could get ahold of our own large area up in the mountains, and set up a drive and camp out for a night... would ya'll be hip to it?

Drive yer rod/custom/bike to the hills, pitch a tent for the night, listen to a band play under the stars, sit around the campfire and tell lies, p*** out in someone elses tent, wake up in the morning and fix some cowboy coffee, then head out for a mid-day adventure.. then head home...

    sound like fun?

I'm thinking Mid May or July 2008. Groups could leave from points in the Bay Area, meet up in SacTown to pick up all us central valley folk... then caravan up to the hills.

If I lived in California I would totally be there... My wife and I go camping at least 2x a year. Sounds like fun to me.

Sounds fun... But a few questions.. How many people?, what's the cost?, Etc... I would be down for camping... Jason.

  8. That sounds fun...in a totally non-brokeback way.

  9. Looks like it's time to dust off all the old pup-tent jokes...

    Sounds like fun to me...

Sounds like the Redwood run...or so I have heard they do that with cars..I only ever went on the Harley run....it's in Garberville up in Humboldt county....damn that was a fun run before all the yuppies showed up (and all the narcs started showing up to keep an eye on the bad guys).....I would probably do it if I can get away from the kids stuff for a weekend! I like a place to park that I don't have to drive, just stumble to my tent...or p*** out on a hill...or wherever! Just as long as there is good music and good friends ya don't even need any damn trophys...but the band would be cool!

No trophies, no "show". Just an excuse to drive yer hot rod, go someplace cool, kick back with folks around a campfire and make some memories.

Something different than yer average car show.

cost? location? dunno. Just throwing it out there. I'd do my best to keep the cost low. Going back and forth as to how to feed people, bring yer onw, or have food be part of the cost. Might start it off simple and have everyone bring their own. Perhaps have a couple of BBQ's set up for everyone to use.

Been thinking about a cool "adventure" outting on Sunday for the group... perhaps repelling into Moaning Cavern (walking tour availible as well). Something along those lines.

we'll see. More details to come soon.

I would say early fall honestly. It would be a bit cooler, no misquitos, and a reason to hug the guy.....girl beside you haha.

Has anyone driven down that huge mountain course in I believe washington state. I can't think of the name right now to save my life. Guys longboard (speedboard about 50 mph) down it all the time. Im going to have to do some damn research now. Talk about putting your hot rod through hell! Hairpins and declines the whole way down! (and up, but rather inclines.)

    Hmmm... I hear ya.

We used to have our Partying Panzer Division camping trip in the first week of Oct. Good time. In 10 years we only got rained/snowed on once.

Problem is, its pretty close to the California Billetproof show.
