I don't know the owner he is a friend of one of my friends. I don't think he is a HAMBer. If you are and don't want this here I'll be happy to take it down. Anyway story I got he was rear ended by someone not paying attention (in school zone no less) pushed into a utility truck of some sort, gas tank ruptured and the fire ensued. Not pretty picture. Made me sick when the pics were forwarded to me. I'll try to get a picture from before the accident tomorrow and post it. Doesn't matter how good of a driver you are its all of those other morons out there. Be careful guys.
I wonder if anyone will ever find where that other driver is burried... honestly, makes me worried to drive alongside people these days, how does driving behind a '32 NOT comand your complete attention? I mean really, if an eye grabber like that can't make people pay attention to what they are doing, what hope does my '98 PU have? such a shame
An original deuce 3w devoid of patch panels burnt crispy with no chance at being rebuilt..... yep, I'm feeling queasy. I hope his insurance pays off large.
Like I said in a school zone. Funny thing is the last accident I was in I was hit from behind while I was stopped for a school crossing guard, oh and I drive a white Crown Vic everyday.
My buddy said that it knocked they guy pretty much unconscious and he had to be dragged out. His son and grandson were in the car with him at the time if I have it right. He lives in the St. Louis area some of those guys might know him.
I remember when the post about this accident was on here a short time ago. There was even a link to actual footage of the car on fire. It is sickening. I know car's that have been subjected to fire's many time's are not savable due to the intense heat and what it does to the tin.. maybe something will come of this one someday..even if it's for parts. what i don't know..just trying to have some faith i guess. I'm just glad they 'walked' away from this... Terrible accident.
Dare I say it was a woman................... My buddy, that knows him, does restorations, body work (may have painted the car originally, not sure) said that most likely they were going to try to save it.
Having lost a few good cars because of others i know this sucks. But a 32 3window,"DAMN SHAME"but at least the people got out.
i agree , more than likely some haint on her cell phone and rear ended this guy with her mommy mobile..
I guess I'll be the first to say it. ......that'll buff right out. Seriously though, that sucks. After the car surviving that long, and to have all that time, energy and money wasted by someone not paying attention. Damn, I would be pissed.
I remember the post about this, what a shame. Actually the door and deck lid look warped up but the roof and quarter dont look to bad. May not be easy to get it to a black paint car but it is fixable.
what a waste... id pay her garage a visit with can of gas and a box of matches... but then again id do that to my own garage if i had nothing better to do
It made me sick to look at it. When I'm driving a '32, it's something I think about a lot with 10 gallons of gas hanging out back. I spend a lot of time looking in my rear view mirror. Me and the Mrs. did 5200 miles to the LA Roadster Show and back. When we got home, I gave her a hug and said "we made it". I felt the safest on the LA freeways because most of time we were stopped or doing about 15 MPH!

That sux.. what are women doing outta the kitchen anyways? this world is coming to an end... I would run that body the way it is..Glad to see they made it out... I hated that fuel tank on back of my T bucket.. always look'n in rear view no matter what....
