And this is what it really looks like, been keeping this kind of quiet but I feel like a 10 year old who's been told to keep a secret. There is 4" out the screen pillars, the trunk is extended 4" the rear screen is moved forward 10" and the doors are lengthened 14" and the rear seat fits in...just.
I'm so glad you posted this at last. You think you've been struggling to keep it a secret. At least you get to see the car every day. I only get to look at the pictures I have of the chop! Now get back to it and get it done - it's gonna be beautiful.
Thanks Alex and 2tall I've been slaving away for the last few weeks now before work after work and during to when the boss is out . I've got the majority of the welding done around the back end including the parcel shelf.
I think I love it! I hope you post a REALLY detailed HOW TO for us beautiful, yet slightly stupid folks.
Hey Koppa, do you still want one of those signed DVD's I imported, you put the name on the list but haven't seen/heard from you since. L.P.
Look at the top, now look at how most mercs are chopped, bet you you'v never seen a 3 window merc let alone an x 4-door. Koppak, i love the look, your cars going to rule!! keep us updated dude!
Thats probably the nicest 3-window merc I've seen, (There was one local with an 80s camaro back window, ugh) but I still don't think its as cool as a chopped 5 window. Very nice work with nice lines.
Very nice car ! Reminds me of this one which is one of the most unique Mercs I've ever seen. I LOVE THIS CAR !!! Can't wait to see yours done ! Todd
Yup! Beautiful Car. You can see it here. http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_...y_custom_cars/49-50_mercury_custo/mejia_merc/ KoppaK your car is looking good.
I have put a little bit more work into the Photoshopped image... Just to get a better idear how it all will work out when John gets all the hard work done on it.
