hey bige,,, hows your house?? i heard they closed down parts of mulholland?

  3. There arent enough firefighters to save the homes.
My dad asked me today if the Army was helping, I told him they probably had better things to do overseas. I hope this is not going to be another New Orleans here.
How are my Socal Bros??? I can't reach some of them, over the phone.

I got a close friend who lives in Ramona and they were evacuated on Sunday. No word on if his house survived, but it doesn't look good. The wife and kid are fine though, and that's what matters...

If any HAMB member or their family needs a place to go to for any lenght of time I've got a home with two large guest rooms and can easily sleep a dozen people in beds and cots. I've been hearing on the news that people are having breathng problems so if a loved one needs to leave the state they can come here.

The winds died down tonight, so hopefully the firefighters can get a handle on it in a couple days. We also need National Guard to come in and drop a few looters.

Hey everyone. I haven't posted in a while but I feel compelled to help. I live just north of San Diego in Sun City. If anyone who has been evacuated or lost their home needs a place to go you are welcome to stay at our place. I don't have a big house but I have sleeping bags and if you need a place to go PM me and we'll see what we can do.

  22. i think blackstar is next. it'll have to burn alot more to get me, i think the laguna fire was closer...hard to say. kinda makes me re-think wanting to live in the middle of nowhere. i was out in modjeska canyon last week fixing a pump thinking to myself how dry it was and today a co-worker had to go out to modjeska area to get and emergency pump going....it was pretty burned he said.

  23. Just watching the news and they showed a guy talking about a 34 Ford that burned up in his garage.

He said "i think it will need some sanding" but made a point that it was all steel and it could be repaired.

i hope he fixes it. He was in the Castaic fire

Jeez, if that thing keeps coming over the G**** Vine, you're gunna see a black GMC haulin *** with a Poncho behind it and a Cornwell box in the back. Bondo melts too fast.:D

We were just having emergency reports of our dam giving way and flooding the city..........now it's fire? Why don't they just empty the ****er and put some of this out?

Thanks for the info, from a member of the SoCal community who doesn't watch TV.
Sounds like the worst fires we've had here yet.

I know quite a few hot rodders down south in San Diego, Escondido and all around that area. I hope and pray that everything is ok with them, I'm sure there are some who lost property in this thing.....I wish them best of luck. If any of ya'll see this post, you know how to reach me if you need a hand, my car hauler is ready to roll and I have room to crash.......all we've had so far has been thick smoke and plenty of ash.

Not to make light of the dire situation. I too have been praying the fires stop.
    BUT>>>>
That's the natural order of survival.
The steel ones just need sanding and the plastic ones go back to the recycler for prophylactics.
