Buy a pinstriped suit and a tommy gun, and start saying things to your kids like "better get to work on that buick or its curtains for you, see" and "if you kids don't get to work on that buick you'll be wearing some cement galoshes, see"

Build it - its what Edward G Robinson would have wanted you to do.

You can look in almost any car magazine or any car show and find dueces or parts for sale. Finding Buicks of almost any era is a much harder task- triple that for anything less than the fifties. If you have "neater" stuff than this, and you've already put time into making this a driver, maybe this should go. Consider your time working on it wasted and try to get your bucks back. But do consider that a body style this nifty should be driven by somebody--I'll take it off of your hands since its in your way.

I have noticed that almost all 1933 american cars were good lookin. especially with mild mods, and you wont find many Buicks esp 1933,s. So if ya wanna be different, build that beauty. The Buicks and Pontiacs, were really nice and rare.Drive it to a cruise and park it in the middle of a sea of duece roadsters.

    I would keep the Buick.

  7. The Buick obviously wants to be on the road again. Put a few hours in when you can and GET 'ER DRIVING. Don't put time and money into the cosmetics, or anything else that's not needed. Drive 'er, then decide if you wanna keep 'er.

    For sale sign the other.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

I was actually just on a car sales site over here checking out a nicely restored, (older resto) shiny black 1936 Buick sedan that's for sale....

    My thoughts were...

    455 and T400, 9' rear.

'Snug' her down on the road a tad, add dual sidemounts, black tinted windows, steelies with caps and dress rings, all original jewellery.

Re-trim the interior in grey suede, add concealed air and power windows, lay a tommygun and a fedora on the back package shelf, put on the old double breasted suit and go cruising!

(Oh yeah, and I could fit all mySEVEN grandkids in the back too!)

    Just do it!

    Cheers, Glen.

Well when i read this i went straight to R@C March 1973. It has a feature on a 1933 Buick Vicky that has stayed in my mind ever since.I still think its one of the neatest large Hotrodded cars of all time and iam aFord guy. Read the feature by O'l Dad himself and it will make up your mind immediately. Harry

It's been said but, build the Buick. They are still makin' 32s, and it doesn't look like they will be stoping any time soon.

Thanks everybody for the great comments and encouragement, but as Denise said I have a ton of stuff that I really need to get to,.. (plus doing work for other guys, which seems never ending).

I put the 33 Buick on the HAMB classifieds,... soon to be followed by the Roadster,.. In a perfect world I would love to keep them all,.. but to be practical I need to cut it down to 4 or 5 keepers and give other people a chance to enjoy the others,...
