Finally got the rear end hung, the engine/tranny mounts in and most everything else done. Just have to connect up the front spring and build a subframe for the cowl steering. Other than that, its about ready to fire. I can't wait! I'm already starting to get that goofy grin.

looking good, are the front tires bigger than the backs? maybe it's just the camera angle.

Heres a couple more... I made the rear spring brackets by doing cutouts with some cardboard then took the cutouts to a place here locally where they scanned them and waterjet cut them into 3/8 plate steel. Total cost for both was only $30. I provided the steel but damn thats cheap. Really cool to see the process too. The brackets for the rear radius rods I cut myself and cleaned them up on the grinder. Not perfect but I'm not building a piano just trying to get this on the road. The front axle was dropped 3 1/2 inches by our own Oldracer here on the HAMB. The guy really knows his stuff. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! The holes I drilled with my handy dandy Ryobi cordless. Heres the pics.

Let me know how you're going to tackle the brake lines with the axle that far out.

Looks killer though... Keep up the excellent work.

One little bit of advice, when your weld looks like it does on the inside of the spring mount, turn the heat up and it'll flow in better.

I didn't know that about the heat. Does it look like it'll be ok? I sure don't want those brackets coming loose! This is my first build so I'm still learnin... Thanks

Its gonna have cowl steering. The sub frame is built, just have to connect up the box. And for the brakes, the flexible lines will reach to the frame rails. Its not as far as it looks.:D

Its 3 1/2 inches dry and 3 fully loaded. That includes a passenger. Its no 4 wheel drive but not too bad. Guess I'll find out.
