this is exciting, but also reminds me of how great a guy Don Garlits is. I was fortunate to meet him a couple times when i was younger-- and he was as down to earth and cool as you can imagine. Having a Billetproof at Big Daddy's museum is really rad.

Yeah, when I booked my room this morning (thanks to Glenn's email) , the guy asked how I'd heard about the show. He said the hotel had just got the show information early yesterday and that the phone's were already ringing off the hook. He seemed a little overwhelmed.

FYI, I was told by the reservationist you have to call the hotel direct to get the 'Billetproof' rate.

 

I have found another Motel near Garlits place that you can check out if the Host Motel which is the Sleep Inn is full.

I've been pitching a tent for a few months

Oh, like nobody saw THAT coming!

Garlit's place is adjacent to I-75, so even hotels 1 or 2 exits North or South is not a problem.

 

So for us cheap bastards, is there going to be any camping available on site or close to the show?

I'll check around the area and see what comes up.

Thanks, I searched a little online, most everything I found in the area is an RV campsite with no mention of tent camping.

The Ocala National Forest has tent camping available. You might want to have a look at that. Mike

Dude, you'll be within 15 or 20 minutes of Ocala National Forest.

Tons of camping, some right next to natural springs and stuff.

Google it & you should find what you need.
