This is an easy one since I don't even own a TV. No time for that brain drain. I have a tuner built into my computer monitor but other than seeing if it works, nada. If theres something I have to see its usually streamed anyway. I've learned more from the HAMB than I ever got from tv.

I probrally watch 2-3 hours of TV a week on DirectTV absolutly nothing on broadcast TV if it wern't for my kids I'd turn it off.I check out the HAMB 2-3 times a day.Got my computer and tools in the basement so I don't go upstairs much.I go to a few other message boards but their pretty weak compared to the HAMB.

I hate TV now, so I'm always working on my car, reading, or trolling the HAMB

I don't think I've watched a show in "real time" in about six months. I'll TiVo some movies on Sundance and IFC from time to time and I record the Rollins Show. More often that not, I end up deleting most of the stuff without even watching it.

As I enter the final couple of weeks of this Fairlane project, I'm actually wondering what the hell I'm going to do with myself when I get it up and running!

My wife has already suggested picking out what to build next, which either means:
    a) she is a very loving and supportive wife.
    b) she prefers that my ass is out in the garage every night and weekend.

    Either way, I win!

Yikes, my wife will laugh if she sees this thread..... she's always saying, are you on that "hokey ass thing" again?

Last week she took the laptop to her school (High School Science teacher) when she plugged it in to the Overhead projector and opened the lid, the HAMB was in the browser for all the kids to read "Hokey Ass Message Board"

I do now. Used to spend a lot of time on several others sites (all hotrod or streetrod related), and only a little on the HAMB. Over past few months the rolls have reversed and now I'm here much more than on others. My wife and many of her relatives believe that I have silently slid into dementia since signing up here. They could be right, but I'm fine with that. Gives me quality time.:D

My cable co took off the speed channel about two years ago, I called them and asked what happened, they said it's now a premium ya gotta pay more for it, I said take it all away.

    No tv since then.

And now I found the HAMB, :)

I've got a TV. Keeps the family happy and good for watching old car movies on a big screen. Definitely spend more time on here though.

TV is ok, but you have to have a Korean war vintage set and restrict use to any two channels that were available in 1952. Rules is rules.

I dont watch TV. Its either the garage or the HAMB.

With the amount of projects we have to build on this board, who has time for TV anyways :)

  22. Now that's funny!

I think my Mrs. must have missed that memo...

I prolly watched 15 min of news at night before going to bed until a month ago. Got a new 46" HD & dish for football season (primarily), but record most things I want to watch...don't watch much in real time anymore either...

I'm on the HAMB quite a bit & rest of internet - all combined a couple hours/day - at least.

  24. I only watch news on TV. The Hamb rules.

I turn on the TV when I am tired and want to fall asleep, it takes about 10 minutes. The HAMB keeps me awake and fills me with knowledge, that can take hours!

  26. i dont watch alot of tv. and when i do it's only the history channel, speedvision and FX, spike every now and then.

TV's only good for background noise. I leave it on a channel that repeats the local news. I doubt I average 10 hours per year watching the crap they show now days.

My computer has a TV tuner built in. You can record and pause live TV etc etc...And check out the HAMB at the same time. Just have to figure out how to cook and use the can from this seat.
