So heres the scoop. My 51 was in the shop a little while ago, and evidently, while it was in there another customer saw it and loved it. He saw my striping and loved that too. So, he decided that since I was a young hot rodder/striper, he had something he wanted to give me. So he gave it to my mechanic, and my old man picked it up for me today. Now keep in mind, I still have no idea who this guy is, which makes me appreciate this even more. It is a real inspiration when people like this come around. Im so excited!
That is so damn cool! Nice to be appreciated huh? I remember finding one of them when I was a kid and throwing it away...... Dum fucking kid..........
hook it up to your shop compresser! used to stop by a guys shop that one of those went off every time the doors were opened, drove the guy next door nutz! time to look up s.w. yoder in little rock ark.?????
Hey man that's cool. I like it when they (ol timers usually) come up to me and just share a quick story about their car. I feel the History just flooding over me and the car, but hell a wolf whistle a damn cool sign of appreciation.
I love the fact it has the hole in the box where it was on display....maybe the guy owned a parts store? Wonder what else he has stashed away??
Yea, once you find out who it was and thank him, find out if theres more goodies where that came from!!
Now you just need a Ronco"Mr. Mic" for your car radio and you're good to go- "Hey Baby, I'll be back to pick you up later!"... Nice find
Hey , what you got is the EARLY Yoder " Wolf whistle" ... Box still intact .. ( Reproductions aint worth crap compared to what you got ) What a NICE gift !!! The guy who gave it to you have my respect! Way to go : Pass stuff on to those who will appreciate it ( And have deserved it ) , rather than leaving it to those who will sell to highest bidder. Kustmace : Keep it FOREVER ! , AND .. If (when) you find out who gave you that gift : Well , ... Forget about parts & $$ ... Just ask him if he would like to share some stories from the past ... A guy giving a piece like that away for free is almost uheard off these days . My bet is that he have been into our hobby since the forties ... Klaz
Speedway still sells them, I don't know if they're the same or not. I always wondered what those sound like? A friend of mine has one similar, all brass, and uses engine compression to blow thru it.
Those useta was practically standard equipment on Model A's...the way it fits onto the manifold where the vac wiper pipe goes looks OEM it's so neat. On mine, I could prime the thing for starting by twisting the Wolf Whistle to straight up and filling it with gas...
I got one too. Same old box, no hole though. Been in storage since 1964. Picked it up at a auction for a few bucks, but never had anything cool enough to put it on. Maybe I should get it out and put it on my 57 Olds. Have to reimind myself not to use it when the wife is in the car.
Freaking cool, and so is the guy that gave it to you. I always smile at stuff back from the days when 'Hollywood' meant quality at its best....
Talk 2 your mechanic, find out who gave it to you and take his ass for a ride and get a history lesson. Good Kharma goes a long way
i agree,,i talked to this one old dude today,,it's kinda ironic,,because in my small area everybody loves camaros...and this guy i'm speaking of actually restores yenkos and copos and all that stuff for big cliente all over the country...well,,we were shooting the shit and we got to talking about nailheads and J2's and him ,back in the 50's dropping them into 40 fords and 53 sunliners and all that, and all the cool as storys that went along with them(he met his wife of 48 years in that J2 powered 53 ford cnvt.!!),it was awesome because ive never seen that dude smile like he was when he was talking about those days!,,he never smiles when talking about camaros! haha
Wow, that is simply cool. If you ever find out who gave it to ya, be sure to say thanks for all of us. I really respect whoever he may be.

Mine was labled Jubilee manufactoring in Omaha, Ne. Same box, old, and I'm thinking you could have your name put on them by a master manufacturer and sell them in your market? There is one on e-bay now under the seller name "acid stamp" here in Omaha, it will close on Sunday evening, no bids as of yet. This is where I bought mine. Someone found a stash of these here in Omaha, there are two sirens from the same company, they have bids on them. I paid 116.00 for mine and am real happy to have it. The original box is so damn cool. I could have bought a repro for less, but I got the real deal!! Cool. I've had one on my Model A since 1970 (it was on the car when I bought it). I also have a noise-maker that threads into the sparkplug hole and makes an "pop-pop" sound when the cylinder fires. Jim Winter The Hot Rod Grille Garage www.wvpinball.com
