I love it when lacquer gets that oily look to it too.

This shows how to properly care for old weathered paint.

    yeah! cool thread.

I specially like it when its only faded- no rust, no damage, only flat from the years.

Original paint,...that ain't to bad, I found the old 35 Drag Coupe within 40 miles of me (painted in '68), and we all know Frankie's car,... unrestored, same finish for 56 years!

  19. He's the nicest guy I have ever met. My buddies and I went down the Fathers day show in 06, and got a private tour of his stuff. Very Very nice guy!!! Cars are great, too!

  20. chris,
i never got to meet tom, met his friend [derek bower] who works on his cars and also got a private tour of all his neat stuff.

  22. Thanks Cris,

I stand 'schooled'... I wasn't sure if Jomar was the car or the place. I is ignorant of these foreign cars.

I don't know much about 'em, but I drive every little old sports car I can - enjoy the hell out of 'em! One of my faves is the 850 Spyder I test thrashed... um... drove.

Thanks for kind words; think the truck will be cooler whenever I can get my motor put together and drive it.

But I've got to go back and pick up reading from the middle of p. 6... don't want to miss any more!
