@Muffler Bearing WOW!!! What an awesome car! I can't stop looking at the pictures. All the weathered paint and chrome... - niceee! Do you have more pics of it? (And it got nearly the same color as my Poncho. )
This is amazing, I would spot that back in and keep it like it is...Color is my favorite, I'd kill for it...or swap my original paint 29 roadster. Hahaaa, Have any more pics?
This thread is gonna save me some time and effort. For the last 17 years, whenever my Nomad fades to a nice chalky dull red, I get out the buffer and make it shiny again. Now I'm just gonna have a cold beer instead!
Bikes?? Two of ours........ 1912 Rudge Multi outfit 1931 Ariel 500cc two-valve sloper I love maintained rather than restored bikes
Dirtiest Devil...... here ya go, the day I got it home........previous owner had done some rewiring and put new plugs and points in it, and after about a half an hour we drove it down the road. Mike
This is the best thread I've seen in a while. Don't know why but I have always enjoyed looking at the cars and trucks with the weathered paint etc.. I think maybe its because I can identify with them so much easier than I can with the others. I like to drive and when I see cars and trucks like these I know there are others out there like me!!! 48 Poncho
48Poncho. I LOVE your car. I'm a sucker for any pre goat Pontiacs. You gotta be really sick and into punishment to have a love like mine.... but thats a different thread. joe
Thanks Joe. I've had several pre 49 cars including a 38 Poncho 2 door but I've got to say out of all of them this is the one I love the most...can't wait to get back on the road with it. Steve ...48 Poncho
This might kill the thread,........ But it's exactly what you asked for ,... Yup !, mother natures finest *check*, the look that comes naturally over time *check*,..... Heeere ya' go !
Here is my personal POS to keep the thread going......and no, its not done (the thread, and the car, it will get paint soon). Im always late on posting, work gets in the way I guess. I always get asked, "what color is it?". I guess its; white, blue, rust, and grey.
OK Here's my welding cart Found near the local rail yard where the German's left it as they ran from the Russians hord
Since this is still going I'll post a couple. The sedan I have now, when my dad had it stored in grandpa's barn about 1968. My dads pickup when he used it for ice fishing, sometime mid 50's
Very cool thread, here's my 30 roadster. If this was a new reproduction body I wouldn't want it to look like this. But there's something about a 78 year old finish that's kind of hard to mess with. My car was originally Washington blue with yellow pinstriping. There's still a little bit left on the doors and above the decklid. Some old timer layed down those stripes almost eighty years ago. Who am I to strip that off? The plan is to drive it how it looks till I can afford a deuce frame and rebuild my flathead and make it pretty again. But who knows, I might leave it like this forever.
