Another!!! Fenderless truck coming together!

Finally got the body thrown back on the frame of my 36 pickup. Finally starting to resemble a vehicle, rather than a bunch of random parts stacked in my garage. Thanks to Pooch and his crew for venturing into the big city to help me move this bugger around

I see a lot of parts and care that wouldn't be on a Rat...and obvious cleaning and grinding etc.
Don't like bags and a long wheelbase...thats cool...but it's not grounds to bash the guys work!

 

Grille reminds me of a DIamond T truck.

Didnt say anything about the WORK QUALITY.

Matter of fact, The grossly un~proportioned Look of the Vehicle, the choice of suspension parts, & the Nasty look of the frame rails completely took my eyes away from the QUALITY of the work.

If you have the skills, Why build such an Abortion of a vehicle ?

It takes the same time & effort to build a car with GOOD proportions & Correct Parts to build a very Appealing Car.

I actually know of a '29 Roadster that LOOKS so good & '40s Pre~War correct.. EVERYONE loves the car... But work Quality SUCKS ASS, but no one tells the kid cus the car LOOKS BITCHEN.

I have told him about his Crappy work, But still he builds them Cheap & quick cus guys tell him his stuff is killer.... So why blow smoke up a guys ass if his stuff is either un~safe ( like the kid) OR looks like its an Aborted shit box right out of 'OL STOOL RODZ Rock~A~ Billy junkyard ?

 

Good, these are the responses Im looking for. I was hoping people would either love it or hate it. I personlly love the proportions, so I guess thats the part that matters. Dont feel the need to defend myself on anything, but If you notice the incline to my driveway/shop, i cant even get my stock 96 regal into my garage bay withour it scaping, So a lowered(un-adjustable) pickup shell didnt have a chance.
I never called it a rat rod, and personally take offense to that term. Im just trying to build what i have in my minds eye, and fuck everybody else if they do or dont like it. Personally I couldnt see myself driving much the Roth or Starbird built, but im not going to knock that they build some bad ass shit. Ive never been one to conform to the "in" crowd, So i guess a "cookie cutter" coupe is no where in my future.

 

strange...even amongst us outcasts (most of the world doesn't "get it, and anything not made in the past 5 years is just an "old car," to them we're all deviants/degenerates) there exists division and elitism.

Some folks have a good attitude about it, and some don't...build what you like, if someone doesn't like it they can eat shit, a simple solution.

Nice job, I don't get the whole (fenderless trucks are evil and wrong) thing. I sold my coupe to finish my truck, cause I like it better. Are you going to put a bed on it?

jagerbomb, i like the looks of fenderless trucks. i also like the comfort of bags. so in my eyes i like your truck. the only thing that catches my eye is the fact that the front end is sooo long and that you cropped the bed down so much, that is if you are going to run a bed. these trucks look a little better with out the suicide front end when the beds are that short. that is the only thing that i see that catches my eye. once again, bitchen ride.
