Shopping for interior fabric

I started to poke around for leather/synthetic leather to repair/modify my seats, but I have no idea what I need for material qualities. Ebay has toms of fabric out there, but I assume not all leathers are UV resistant, or automotive-grade? I'd hate to do a bunch of upholstery to find it faded or trashed in a few years.

Any suggstions?

they carry stuff you've never dreamed of. they have a sample board that you could spend a whole day looking at.

 

sms is mostly for original type fabrics and vinyls...= super expensive, like $65-$85 a yard. But if you need original cloths or vinyls they got it.
