yes, but i actually started it BEFORE the Lunar Lander was dremt up. not to say i was'nt inspired by Mr. Grote. it was his truck (which was still under construction) and Doc Frankenstien's truck that lit the fuse... unfortunately it was a looooong fuse and that project currently resides waaaaaay on the back burner. if i had a bit more space i'd be working on it from time to time but i'm already actively working on 3 projects in my garage with several waiting in the wings. it is hanging from the ceiling in the garage right now.

This one I started, it's a 25ish Dodge touring car cowl with a MG midget rear section grafted on, and wheelwells from a pair of '68 Chevy truck front fenders.

It was dubbed Train Wreck because my first mock up photos were truely hideous, I had it on a 60's pickup frame that stuck out like a ***** in sweatpants.

I ended up selling the roughed out body to Ironpile (another HAMBer) who sent me these updated pics where you can see some of the bodywork started. Hopefully it'll be a finished rod this summer.

I think the body looks pretty damned good considering most of it is 70's vintage. Not really Plowboy-esque or Doc Frankenstein material but it was built in a similar process.

squablow - that's interesting...some nice curves there - i could see it low with five spokes and whitewalls. at first, the side shot reminded me of an audi tt - but i think it works. hope your buddy will keep us updated.

PLOWBOY STYLE? Is that like SO-WHAT STYLE?? Ha Ha Ha Ha H a... Ok Ok Ok Ok... take one part VAN HALEN..NOT VAN HAGAR..Two parts JOE DIRT...Add some DOKKEN..maybe a pinch of VIXEN...some CORN SQUEEZINS...get drunk and p*** out making sure you hit your head and are high on fibergl*** resin fumes, pray to ED ROTH and wait for the vision to come. Write it on the back of a PIZZA BOX (that's the important part). Go out to the garage and beat the HELL otta some piece of metal from an orphan brand of automobile into the shape of something else. That's a good place to start. Call us when you get that far.

HAHA... I think the term is hilarious too, but let me tell you someting.

Rashy hooked me up with a 192? Dodge cowl, a pair of 59 Plymouth qtr panels, a 59 Plymouth deck lid, and a Model A window frame. It's not what I was looking for, but I have been tempted to use his idea to turn it all into a "plowboy" body. It won't take much, it's cheaper than finding an Model A body (what I really want), and it's would go well with my "other" somewhat normal-looking 59 Plymouth.

It's amazing what you're capable of working with when you don't have alot of money :)

My guess is some TV producer will start a Plowboy reality show where a bunch of goons (HAMBERS) will build fabulous one off cars in a small town shop in Illinois. Plowboy will stay in his office drinking and designing the next show car, and will come out to the shop to yell at his guys to meet the deadline or else!

anhydrous ammonia is liquid fertilizer that is applied to farm fields. The meth lab folks use it too.

Ran across this last Saturday, figured Plowboy had an illegitimate step child hiding out in Arizona?

I know that, read my response carefully, I'm asking what 'hydrous' ammonia is, without the AN.

The pictures of the cars shown on this post were all done before I ever even learned to weld, I don't know why you want to call them "Plowboy" style. Ha Ha Ha I have had a lot of people tell me they are/or are gonna build a car like mine one of these days. Most people give up when they find out how much work it REALLY is. Ha Ha Ha

Ray Farhner was probably the first with the "Eclipse" to make a bed using later quarters and that was back in the early sixties. (He is also from the midwest so you California guys can't claim that one now can ya!) Does anyone have any pics of the X-ray?????

That Yellow Edsel was from the midwest as well, I believe.

Nads, "Hydrous Ammonia" would just be ammonia. Kind of like a French Tickler in France would just be called a "Tickler". I have been pulling anhydrous tanks for the past week, not much 'puter time but I had to stop in the office to make a map or two. At least I get to rock out to my I-pod!.....and Spike, Dokken ****s.

Kustombuilder, you had better hurry with yours. I found a 60 Olds to buy. Ha Ha Ha

we spent an evening with dan haggerty in sedalia, mo, at the street machine nationals. he was displaying some bikes at a local bar, including a panhead chop built for ann margaret, with a lion theme, i think. he also claimed to have built the easy rider movie bikes....

I would have been nicer to you on the Bville trip. Saw the truck
