I'm not a bike guy but I really like the proportions of that one.

  6. I'm not a trike fan at all. That one reminds me of a Cox powered trike I had as a kid. Remember those, with the glow plug and great smelling can of fuel? Although I think mine was metalflake purple.

I had a crazy trike when I was a kid.
It had a seat like that, plastic 12" drag slicks, and the pedals went back and forth instead of round and round.
I put a lawn mower motor on it, almost met my maker.
This guy must have seen my trike and copied me man.
    hahaha, realy cool

    Mark, the bike is BEEAUUTEEFUL.

Is it an old one with history, or a new creation?

i seem to have a thing for c-cab trikes. i really like roth's mailbox. i have been wanting to build one like that with this pinto motor i have. i know roth built his with a sold mounted rear end is that how this one is built too. i planned on using one of the independants from like a nisson 280 or something. this one reminds me of roth's candy man trike, which this one is unique all on it's own. those crosley motor are so small!! great bike.

Its new, I built it in 03, its a hard tail, has a crosley rear end (stock width) It is a rough rider partially because of the 40 year old goodyear bluestreak stock car specials, they are hard as a rock with 10 psi air, but I like how they look.

    Neat.

Did you build the shell from scratch? I ***ume so, and if that's true, do you have any construction photos?

Is it all fibergl***, or is there a metal frame that defines the edges?

I would like to have a '60s-style trike one day.

    Thanks!

  22. Ahhh, That's it! Mine was purple, but that's it. Very cool to see it again.
And to see where the Crosley powered trike was inspired.

I had one of those when I was a kid (circa 1974). Orange plastic, pedal powered. Called a "Hot Seat".

Later, after we had graduated to bicycles I stole the long front forks from the Hot Seat and welded them to the forks on the Schwinn.

I used to cut the forks off other bikes and pound them on over the ends of the forks to make em longer, had one with 3 extra sets on it. went over a bump some fell off and the rest dig in to the dirt hard....Ouch I think I was about 10 at the time
