Apparently the aftermath of kids who parents experminted with the finer drugs of the 70's....the design however great it looks standing still, going down the road is another story. Race it never, ride in it no as I don't really have a death wish. It may be my lack of understanding but in any use of the word tradition it sure would not be correct, nor will it ever be when this car is sitting next to any car out of the 40's or 50's that I own I would have to move mine as not to have any corrosion start in a hard to reach areas! Bottom line is designed by some one who needs to read basic building 101. Just my 2cents...Like it or Not!
I dunno..... I think if dude had some better rims, and dressed up mill, id dig the car alot more..... but its still perty trippy...... I dig radical rods and kustoms, traditional rods and kustoms, bellflower cruisers, and maybe even a few low riders....... I dunno, alotta old men get on there high horses and talk shit..... but back in the day there was no such thing as traditional...... dude, if they had bags and all that shit back then, theyd build cars that lay frame too. And besides that, its just an evolution, people cant be expected to build the exact same type of cars for years right? but what the hell do i know...... im 21, so that automatically makes me a punk ass!!! hahaha
God you guys are like a bunch of rich women bitching about anothers outfit for the day. The body was really rusty so rather than spend the money and time on patching everything, they cut the bottom of the body off. It sits on one of the builders old mini-truck chassis's that he had around, with a screaming small-block and a 5speed in it. Right hand drive too..... For all you super traditional guys....look the other way for gods sake. Did anyone ask for your opinion on the car....? It was built to look like a cartoon....like it had been shoved down in the ground. I dig it for the creativity in it.....Unlike the super tradional 32' roadster with all the high dollar so-cal parts and a boring 350 chevy auto......REAL CREATIVE GUYS....Like thats never been done before. Maybe thats what you guys want, is a car that you could go to a show and see 10 others just like it. For me..I like a well built car like this one that has a style all its own, a car with actual character!!!

That cars gay. I think it would look a lot better with some unique patina or a rusty body....but only if it had red wheels to set it off. Its especially stupid since the guy drives the hell out of the car.....whats up with that?? geez.
i kinda like the rolling stock and the body but how the body sits and tyhe that frame not so much. if it were mine i put it on an acehole frame and run with the rest and i d be happy with it
all I know is I think the car is kool, back in the early 90's I had a 55 buick special 2 door hardtop(less than 5k invested) and my my dad had a 56 Belair (more than 50k invested) (billetized) when we would go to shows, no one would give the bel air a second look and every one swarmed the ol buick. cause it was different?? just like homeboyz sedan.....its different, I dig it!! there are no rules or guideline on building a Kustom or "TRADITIONAL ROD." Back in the 90's "DARE TO BE DIFFERENT" was the thing. Lets accept the thing, he could have spent his time and $$on a honda with a big wing or even worse a DONK.

If its the same car.I saw it here at the Asphalt Invitational and then again at one ogf the GoodGuys shows.It is different and its cool in its own little way.If its the same one its all air ride.Front end is IFS.

I'm 66 years old and built my first rod, a '31 A Pickup with a flathead when I was 16. I enjoy looking at radical rides be it a Roth creation, a Plowboy build or the one in question. Even though I've built dozens of rods and have several '48 and older running rods now (all built by me) I can usually find something unique or interesting on other rods. Even the one pictured. While I tend to keep my builds a bit more practical, I'm not offended by cars like the one pictured. I guess I'm just not discriminating enough to have an adverse emotional reaction over how someone built their car.
Is it me or the photo.This car right hand drive,is that the steering column down past the block,I know there was another car there that was rhd but it was a roadster.Don't knock it, this is the new traditional.In 20 years time people will whinge about how they didn't build 'em like that in my day.Keep on roddin'.
Hmmmmm, let's see... here's a radically modified hot rod (traditional or not) with a SHIT-TON of blood, sweat, and tears poured into it... I understand that it's ALWAYS open-season here on the HAMB and NOTHING IS SACRED... so I'm just going to say: I see this car on a regular basis and have spent more then a few minutes checking it out(the owner works around the corner from me). Whether it's your bag or not, and it's NOT mine, it IS built SOLID... the craftsmanship is THERE and the guy isn't some over-exaggerated, kewl-daddy, flaming iron cross, AG-FAY, which is pretty refreshing actually. He's just a dude who built a car HE likes. Let's not leave out the fact that he didn't even post it on here, somebody else did... so it ain't like he's trying to get all loved up by anybody. OK, enough... I'm pretty sure this is gonna fall on the deafest of ears(I have them too, from time to time) so... uh... yeah. love, ns
Hmm, theres a damn good question! Is the PPE practical?.. no, is it astheticaly pleasing?.. maybe to some Is it traditional who knows(cares)? The fact of the matter is that folks will build a car however they dictate, with what money, and parts they can scrape up.. I keep hearing about how this site is dedicated to traditional hot rodding, but traditions evolve. Were Roth's cars traditional to the drylakes guys? Hell no, they stuck out like a sore thumb, similar to how the radical rides of today stick out. They're "different", and everyone knows what happens to the person who thinks outside of the boxed '32 rail. I'm one of those traditionaly-non-traditional kinda guys... I appreciate both. I'm always looking for new ideas, and guess what.. its the non traditional guys that come up with alot more cuz they're doing things that havent been done before. I really appreciate the Lo-Buck guys, that can create something useful outta junk, elbow grease, and imagination. Everybody has their own idea of what is cool, why do poeple feel the need to down someone elses ride cuz it doesnt fit their "ideal car" image? We should all find ways to compliment a fellow rodder on his work, be it his fabrication skills, his eye for style, or his ability to stay period correct, ...but dont bash the guy or his car Look at it this way... those of you who have kids, would you down another parent's child because his ears were to big, or if his hair wasnt the right shade of brown? These cars we build are like our kids, and the builders have pride in what they've created... Thats why we're all in this right?! to build OUR car the way WE like. A-hole J.
I think the car is cool too...you just misunderstood me.... Its different....but man I mean the guy who built it must be some crazed lunatic...I couldnt imagine how hed get the nerve to build a car like this....what a weirdo.... Especially something that far out there built to drive....strange.
