I am asumming your a Frankie Fan...due to your pic/name I too am a great...great...fan of anything Frankenstein....So did you hear about Mel Brooks opening his Broadway show up...based on his movie? Thought I'd throw that out to yu Sandy
Another great start to Friday's show..... Here are a few from me this week. Oh yeah, sorry about that pesky watermark in the first one, but its the only image I have Riff Raff Race 16" X 20" Oil on Canvas EPIC 28" X 72" Oil and Motor Oil on canvas Blue June 28" X 72" Oil and Transmission Fluid on Canvas
...here's a before/after of some interior trim pieces I bartered with a 'tiquer for ,out of a 36 Chrysler sedan.
...and I just finished this panel...I call it my farmer's panel....barbed wire, binder twine, & mechanic's wire....really hard to get a good pic !
Once again I didn't do anything new this week. I got a bunch of crap from the scrap pile . Ray Bowles T, a 50 Chevy that Dee Wescott customized in the fifties and some other stuff. The orange truck is actually watercolors. Fastback sports car and a bicycle. All you guys are to good , it's hard to keep up! All tis stuff is over 10 years old!
Just a quick 33 Ford five window...fenderless flyer done 60s style with pie-crust white walls, steelies, a 425ci Nailhead, dropped & drilled axle, etc...you get the idea!
Here's the long awaited, rebuilt 3.50 POSI Galaxie rear end for my Econoline. I dressed it up a little. I couldn't get a picture of it... but I used glow in the dark paint.
Here's the phantom 1995 Chevrolet Nomad Sportsman Wagon. 17" Alloy rims are an homage to the SS caps used in '65 & '66. The car is basically an Impala SS in Country Club clothes. ** Nice ideas here! I really like the wheel combination and the shortened wheelbase. You've got skills!
Wow what coool stuff everyone is doing ! Not sure which piece I like the best if I could only pick one ?.. The "Lil guy" will be happy you liked his Tiki ... wish I still had that much imagination ... Thx
Thanks for the kind words. It's always a gamble to put non- topical vehicles on here so I don't make a habit of it. I actually retained the stock wheelbase on the car but, by lengthening the doors and shortening the rear overhang a few inches, was able to create the effect of a shorter wheelbase.
Well, I've never posted my stuff up here, but have been an avid fan and admirer. My stuff is a little more impressionistic about the process of building cars and the utilization of them. I wasn't quite sure how it would fit, plus the talent here is amazing. soooo.... (I feel like I'm going up after the rich kid at the show and tell in fifth grade) A little background... I am a southpaw that lost use of my left arm for five years due to nerve damage. I had to switch to my right. Short story is that I got nerve damage in my right arm as well, had surgery on both, and now can use either one, but in a limited fashion. My right-handed style is more free-flowing impressionistic and capturing a feeling, my left-handed style is more detailed. Here's one of each... here is a right-hander called "impressions from a road trip" The left-hander is called "number head",and as an exercise of the bending of light around a form. It is the representation of my brain during a build. Both are acrylic on canvas.
Here's a purse I painted with Oneshot for Diamond49's wife. Their car, purse in the back widow and the purse....I think they liked it?!
