Is the T6 trans a direct interchange with a T5 ? Input splines,output splines,mount location,bolt pattern,etc. If not,what is different ?
T-56. I think they're not a direct swap, but I'm not sure to be honest. In fact, I'm pretty useless on this one. I'll just bow out now...sorry everyone.
I don't think so, i could be wrong though. I just know I have a T5 with an adapter plate to hook up to my Straight 8 and it's cool, that's all i can tell you. Oh and in the mustangs they came in, they're even cooler.
That's the T56. Fitment depends on what engine you are putting it too and what engine the trans is coming from. It is not a direct swap from T5 to a T56.
The T-56 is much larger and longer, there is also a adapter/spacer between the trans and the bellhousing on most. Shifter is in a diff. spot ,my Viper one also does not share an output yolk with anything else ect. ect.
T56 bolt patterns vary & at least the Ford version isn't the same as the Ford T5. Physically larger & a bit longer too.
