The Sacramento Autorama will again be featuring the Suede Pavilion this year. This will be the second year that the Autorama has tried featuring traditional rods, customs and bikes. Last year we only had 30 days to get it together but still wound up with 75 cars on the floor. This year we would like to fill the Pavilion (200+) and let the everyone know that building and driving traditional rods is not a fad. Not all details are set yet, but we do have 4 bands lined up, Bruce Gossett will have our flier ready in about a week or so, we'll be having the pinstriping panel jam again with ALL proceeds from the auction going to the childrens home, pin up girl contest, and a whole lot more. If you need a registration form just shoot me an email 31fordman@comcast.net and I'll get one out to you.
Bruce, I plan on having My Wagon finnished for the Cow Palace show, so If it is done then, I will have it at the Autorama...its not suede, but I am sure it fits in just as well as the painted cars did last year! I will shoot you an email. Thanks for posting this up, I was wondering if it was going on this year too!
OK everybody, let's get this straight: just because it's called the Suede Pavilion (we didn't name it) doesn't mean it has to be in suede or primer or no paint all. All pre 65' traditional built hot rods, customs and bikes are welcome. Paint IS traditional.
No matter what the name, it will be a cool turnout...last years turnout was awesome. I will give the guys in my club some flyers, and I know we will bring about 9 or 10 cars. I am looking forward to it!
I'm gonna try and make it this year. I just tore into my Caddy to freshen up a few things, if it's not done by then I may still run up in my pickup.
