These loyal copilots (Pepper in the drivers seat, Henry in back) have logged over 30K miles (5 cross country trips). They never complain and are always ready to go. Some of their antics while driving crack me up. They make me feel guilty at times when bad words are uttered (is that part of working on cars?, they can sense a mood change in a heartbeat). They are good security too when resting on long road trips. Any other pix or stories out there?

I don't have any pix of her, but I had a Siberian Husky mix named Duchess for years and years, and she went with me damn near everywhere. Anyway, she'd sit up in the passenger seat of whatever I was driving, a mirror image of myself with her right front elbow propping her up on the window. She always stayed put, and never complained a bit.

    Cancer got her in 2001.

I've got 2 characters of my own, Ruby(The Boss) & Ruger(The Bitch) Ruby is a 7lb Yorkie, Ruger is a 120lb Rott, They have the biggest personalities ever, and love rides. Both of them will freak out if they hear you get their leashes or see you put on shoes, or if the keys jingle. And ya can't get mad at 'em either. I love these damn dogs. Here's a picture of 'em

  6. Hey, no55mad, what kind of dogs are those guys? They look a lot like my pal, Zeke. He's an adopted mutt, but he sure is a cool ol' boy.

Pepper is the 5 yr old female in the front seat. She is Boarder Collie/Australian Shepard/Lab mix. Henry in the back seat is a 11 yr old Boarder Collie/Flatcoat Retriever mix. Henry lives to be in the water and dive for thrown rocks. He will be under water for up to 10 seconds looking for that rock - and he will do this all daylong! Pepper is the hunter - always looking to chase something. Hate to drag on, but the saying 'man best friend' has to be one of the classic quotes of all time!

  17. After 24 years of wanting a dog of my own (god damn strict parents) I picked up this pup a month ago. She's a beagle/australian cattle dog/German Shepard mix. And when I'm done building my truck she will go everywhere with me

I was givin a black pom. He is now 11 years old and when ever I go anywhere he has to go. He likes the rear window just like those bobble headed dogs. And if it gets warm in the car when he is waiting, he will go lay on the floor.
We have an MGB also, and the Jack Russell just loves the rear area, as he can sit there and look out the front and keep an eye on absolutely everything going on.
