Trying to find some pics of the deuce tudor before it became the 'Super Prune'. This version, IMHO, is the best. Love that blown flattie, bobbed rear with louvers in the rear fenders, and the nerfs. Page 228 of Tony Thacker's book ''32 Ford Deuce' has a side view. Am looking for other views especially the rear. Anyone happen to have pics ?

It was on the cover of Car Craft in the mid fifties- in Hot rod in the mid sixties.

  3. I like the yellow super prune version. I know Phil Hendricks, the builder of the prune version, but I met him right after he sold the car to Jeff Beck, and it went to England. It was in the 90's that I saw the car at the Goodguys Pleasanton show. It was all lacquer checked, and had a 32 gas tank and frame horns on the back, but otherwise intacked. Phil had a chrome sponsorship from Continental plating in Oakland. The car has lots of chrome. The prune was all naked girls. I wish I had a picture of it. Dean

Is this the issue ? The car is identified in the mag as a coupe owned by Don Alpenfels, but it wouldn't be the first or last time that a mistake happened in print...

showrod - Sorry, I don't have the issue (yet). Wanting to confirm that this is THE issue at this point.
bushwacker 57 - I'd appreciate it if you could get some pics, especially the front & rear. Any chance the old nerf bars from the Dave Archer version are still around ?
