I am going to have to agree with Jkustom and say that stock gl*** looks awful. The chop on this car is great. but that back gl*** looks like ****.
I dont have a digital camera, or many pics of my car at all for that matter, but This is from the "HAMBANDY GOT CRUISED" thread.. Not the best, but it will have to do...
IMO i would say the stainless around the gl*** hurts this chop and also the slanted pillars dont look good on chevies
Ill back you up all day long.........I worked as a glazier for 5 years, and did PLENTY of shop work cutting gl***. Most people dont even know what a glazier is so **** em. Anyone who can cut tempered gl*** can probably walk on water too. Learn the difference, tempered/laminated before you open your mouth.
i WISH i WOULD'VE GOTTEN THIS MUCH PRESS WHEN I ASKED OBUT CHOPPING MY HARD TOP. I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING INCENDIARY.
Here is whats up.Tempered and laminated are both forms of safety gl***. Tempered and laminated safety gl*** are two differnt things. Stock that car could have tempered rear gl*** . Most the repop gl*** is laminated. Tempered if you hit it with a hammer it will break in to little peices. Laminated has a plastic membrane in between the peices of gl*** so when it breaks big long shards of gl*** stay atached and dont cut your head off. The answer to the million dollar question. The 54 has a cut down laminated safety gl*** rear window. Scott
i have a 53 chevy 210 club coupe and just laid the gl*** forward you should try that. the gl*** is available new. so i have a completely stock size rear window. the winshield i had made.
