Same here! Then I my uncle gave me his barely started, original issue Revell Stone, Woods, & Cook coupe kit.
Anybody have the old Rod Action magazine, with the red 41 Willys coupe boiling down the hides in the middle of a cornfield surrounded backroad?

I just looked through 49 pages of the best pictures i have ever seen. It was truly a happy experience. Being the proud owner of a 1940 all steel willys coupe i must say this is the best freaking post i have ever had the priviledge of looking though. Love you man!!!!!!

I don't have a picture to post of our car but would like to share the news that i just went to our local book store and picked up a copy of the new car kulture deluxe magazine and low and behold there is a nice picture of our car on page 8 at the Gasser Reunion in thompson ohio. The black and white filthy forty look a like with pork zartman's name on the door. God i love this hobby!!!!!

i'll post a couple of favorites that i took pictures of this year...

 

and some more...

 

heres my car... raced from '62 - ?? at island dragway and englishtown NJ. never had a straight axle... but front end was blocked up. had an big olds rearend (that i gave away because i didnt know any better - yeah im an idiot). made the car streetable... BUT in progress of going back to the way it was. never had a roll cage but im gonna put an old school one in it eventually. also i have a pair of skinny cragars for the front and gonna get some front runner tires. down the road gonna do a chrome straight axle setup and a heavy duty rearend (might try to hunt down the guy i gave the sweet one to 10 years ago). i might tint the side windows red. also gonna put some sweet one piece glass taillights and an old moon gas pedal.

motor isnt too old school (383 stroker) but it runs like a raped ape. gotta find a cooler air cleaner - that was a tempo. someday a set of fenderwell headers too. it may take years but thats what makes it fun.

any body got a pic of a copper colored Angilia out of Kansas, running a 4:71 blown french flathead? Runs NHRA brackets I believe. Was our old car, was lettered DJ's Louver Service, don't know what it is lettered now. Would love to see a pic of it.
