Just got a message from one of my best friends (Lynn Bird), that his son Steven was in a roll-over car accident Thursday night and is in the ICU with head injuries and a broken neck. He is in a coma until they can control the brain swelling- but they have improved his prognosis to an 80/20 chance for a full recovery. This is a hard core hot rod son and dad who have both taught me a ton and been a huge help to me most of my life. Steven built his own '29 Roadster from an original rendering given to them from Keith Weesner. He had the car at Paso the last few years and has been rightfully proud of his first effort. I look forward to Steven's full recovery and more hot rods in his future. Please think a good thought for some fellow rodders. Dad Lynn is a HAMBer as well (Nostalgia59).
There seems to be an increasing number of these type of accidents and injuries this year. Prayers sent for full fast recovery
Prayers sent for the young Steven.Hope he has a full recovery. I am involved in two similar cases right now. Neighbor girl flipped her car end over end several times ,been in STIcu[severe trauma and injury care unit} unit in an enduced coma for 3 weeks. She has head injury and a broken back. Amber was sent to ICU yesterday[that's an improvement.} Shes a beautiful 21 year old girl. One of my Superintendants flipped his truck 4 times 3 days after Amber had her wreck. He broke his back in 4 places. Both kids will have a full recovery as per the doctors. Prayers is what got both of these young people out of the woods. yes, prayer works. TP
My prayers go out to Steven. I have seen all too many times what can happen. I had several friends in high school that were seriously injured or killed in car wrecks. I sincerely hope he makes a full recovery.
