I'm thinking about building a flathead Ford for an old boat, is there a message board like the HAMB but for old boats and the like? Matt
Here's a good forum for speed boats old and new......... you'll probably want to go to the V-drive section.... http://hotboat.com/forums/index.php Say, there is a Halibrand V-drive box on E-bay too that'd be perfect.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vint...004QQitemZ140178107900QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
Thanks for the info guys. Great picture Ramblur!!! I just happen to be lucky enough to buy a complete flathead with all the marine stuff on it and now need a place to put it. LOL Matt
Thanks for that hot boat site,i'd never checked it out before(to busy looking at the HAMB).I was very involved in the sport as a crewmember, for many years. Our last boat, was a very well known Cole T/A hydro,by the name of "Airtime".A previous owner(Jim Epler) won the world finals with it,before he went on to be the 1rst 300 mph funny car in NHRA.Our team also had success with it winning 7 of 8 races in one season.
Rev Grimm13 on the Killbillet board has a 73 Caddy.....barge...Thinks its a Rat Rod..........Does that count?
build it, make it a flat six ford, be different, dress it up with nice stuff. here is a knudsen boat set up, look up art maynard, he had one of the fastest division 2 hydroplane boats in the early 50's. he used a 226 ford six, and whipped a lot of flat 8's.
