This Deal With Rich And Quite A Few Others Having Lost Some One Lately Has Really Got Me To Thinking I Sure Am Thankful There's Only One Empty Chair At My Table. My Dad Died 4 Yrs Ago And It Still Hurts To Not See Him At The Table, But You Guys That Are Going Thru This The First Time Today I'm Sorry And Am Really Heavy For You Guys Today. Seems Like Time Does Make A Little Difference....till You Pull All The Pics Out. Then You Just Get To Enjoy Memories.
So... Those Of You With No Empty Chairs.....enjoy It And Don't Take It For Granted. Make Some Memories.
Thanks For Starting The H.a.m.b. Ryan!!

Reggie, when you get to be my age you have a lot of empty chairs around the table, but thankfully there are grandbabies to fill some of them. I feel that my chairs may be empty but they are still there because I will carry them in my heart forever.
    HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE

    Empty chairs???

I fill them with the good memories of the ones still here with me and take a moment when the day is done to push the chair up to the table full of the one who should have been filling it in the first place. The chair is never really empty, The occupants are not at the table they are standing around enjoying the show!!

Nice to have met you Reggie and all here on the HAMB.

    HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!

I give thanks for the HAMB and all the quality people that first knew my dad and the one's I have met to ease the empty chair in my house!!!!!

There will be a empty chair this year, my brother Rick, p***ed away last August from a short but tough fight with Buccle Carcinoma cancer,..... I will miss him, but I know i will see him again, I am so thankful to have known everyone that has touched my life, whether they are here or gone,...... I have so many things to be thankful for,
words can't begin to express it,...

On Thanksgiving I reflect on my life, and even when we go through really tough times,... I just look around me and am amazed at the wonderful blessings the Lord has given me,...God bless you all, especially those that need a little extra portion of tenderness and are hurting.

From my family to all of you Happy Thanksgiving.

Reggie, it's always harder during the holidays. Makes you miss the ones that are gone even more. My 88 year old dad dissapeared 7 years ago last Oct. and not a day goes by I don't think about him and wonder what happened.

Wow That Was Fun...my Family Just Got Back From Helping Deliver Over 650 Turkey And Dressing Dinners And Pies To People All Over Our Town. Our Church Family Puts This Thing Together Every Year. (12 Now). What A Blast. We Took A Load In My Suburban To The City Police, The State Police And 1 Of The Fire Dept. Then Stopped At A Bunch Of Gas Stations And Gave Everyone A Meal That Worked There.
Just Incredible. Then We Go Around Picking Up People On The Street That Don't Have A Place To Go And Bring Them To The Chuch And Feed Em And Just Be A Friend To Them. Took All The Kids So They Could Really See Some Thanks"giving"!
    Well Happy Thanks "giving"

My Dad p***ed away almost 2 years ago. I wish I would have spent more time with him when I had the chance. I just wish I could be half the man he was.

I know exactly how you feel. We used to have to put three leaves in the old kitchen table,to accomodate everyone,Today we didnt need any extra room, just 3 of us left to share the meal. We will never forget those who have p***ed,but we will cherish the time we spent with them. We are thankful that we have our health to enjoy the holiday.

His senior year in high school he was was required to build a calf feeder in FFA cl***, He turned his upside down ,welded a model A cowl to it widened a Farmall hood an used a Farmall rad. shroud and freaked the ag. teacher! He proudly sit it in our yard the day before the accident. He had a great amagination

My Dad died 30 years ago last Sunday. Hardly a day goes by I don't think about something involving him. Sure wish he was here to see his great grandson, they would get along just fabulous.

I know what you mean. I lost my only grandmother 3 days before Thanksgiving 3 years ago, and my mother the end of October the following year. The last week of this October my wife's mother p***ed away and one week later my father-in-law had to have major surgery and had complications. We spent the day at the hospital with him today, and brought along Thanksgiving dinner and he had a good day. If all goes well he'll be home the first of next week. We buried one of my best friends yesterday. He was 57. I'm beginning to hate Thanksgiving....
