This is a follow up for our pal Rob Lee who had an unfortunate crash on his Triumph last Monday. We have been posting on "Say A Prayer for Rob Lee" thread on his condition. It has mostly been good news, as he was comatose at first and lifeflighted to the hospital. He is awake and aware but is suffering with multiple internal problems, bruised and damaged organs, and almost every rib fractured. We have had some requests by folks who wanted to help with this situation, so here are some avenues to help this nice young family. Rob is selfemployed so health insurance is not in place. Mr tough-guy has never even been in the hospital before. A pay-pal account is in place c***laroo@hotmail.com! Those not using pay-pal may send your support to---Rob and Jane Lee-1918 S. 14th St.-Omaha, Ne, 68108. Rob is overwheelmed at the support from the Sisters and Brothers from the H.A.M.B. community!! Just got home from the benefit. Lotas good people there. I hope they got some good donations for Rob's expenses. The band was excellent [forgot to take photos] and everybody who donated was issued a T-shirt that said "I was conceived in a ___". The blank was filled in with either a chevy bow-tie, a ford blue-oval and maybe they even had MoPar shirts..I didn't see.
I got a bow-tie shirt but in fact, I was prolly conceived on the seat of a Harley because my folks didn't buy a car until Ma was pregnant with me.
{The ol' man bought a 33 willys coupe!]
Anyway, it was cool to see old friends and the Road Burners were well represented tonight.
Hope our efforts help with Rob's expenses..

Also, it's Tech Week. O/T threads tend to get closed during Tech Week.

Hope Rob's condition is improving. He continues to be in our thoughts and prayers.

It will more then likely get reopened afterwards. Seems strange that this one is open and the other one with more info is closed? Perhaps a mod can merge the two and the merged one can stay open.

Today was another good one for Rob.They took two of the tubes out so thats a good thing.I haven't been there today but Jane just called with the update. She sounded in very good spirits, it's been a tough week for her.I'm going to give them a one day brake from my wearysome ***.Santa stoped by like he said he would so the Lee kids are covered for the holidays.I can't express my gra***ude enough to him and those that have made this load easier to carry for the Lee family. thanks much,later....................****.

It was a good time to see buds and to release some pent up tension of worrying and feeling helpless. It was such a last minute event it may not have been really a huge financial success, but was great to see Robs brother Kevin Lee, and brother **** Warsocki kickin it a little. A nice mix of car cats, represented were:-Speed Kings-Gossen Racing-Shop Ten-Roadburners-Hood Ratz-Midwest Streetrodders-Weeks Garage-Grin & Barrett Tattoo-Retro Rocket-Karls Kustoms-and a bunch of other pals. Tod ****ey/Josh Dunwoody and the rest of The FilterKings blew the lid off the dump!! They were *** kicken!! Josh did a great job of hookin this gig up. The Super-Fine Sarah Benck and the Robbers put on a stunning show, she was wielding a big *** flying V and played the frets off it. Her band is a real local treasure that has been recognised by opening for some big names of late. They were so generous to let us jump in on thier party and make it ours. So we are getting geared up for the 29th of Dec. when Josh has lined up a full on gig for this good cause. The mighty Filter Kings plus the incredible ******* Sons of Johnny Cash will tear it up, and we will work in a cool silent auction for some very nifty goods!! Hoping for more positive news and diagnosis. Thanks again to everyone involved-Sololobo

    Great news!

Rob Lee just called me and said he should be going home in a couple of days. They just removed the last tubes today and he sounded great on the phone. He's just down to Motrin for pain, but definitely still has alot of healing to do. He had alot of good things to say about the hospital and staff, also.

He's more than ready to get out of the hospital and start spending some time in the garage again. He said he doesn't care if he can't even do anything, just wants to get back out there. How cool.

Also, he is very very thankful for all of the help and prayers that have been sent his way. I'm sure Rob will be back on here soon enough to let everyone know how he's doing.

Damn, it was great to hear from him. What a tough dude.

Yep, he's doing much better. He escaped from his room long enough to find some internet access and send me a quick note. How cool was that! He'll be back in the saddle again real soon.

A long rehab is ahead but will be great to sleep in his own bed, and get out in his garage even if he can't work on his rigs yet, smelling the fumes off the iron will be healing. The Hacienda Brothers, Dave Gonzales dedicated a song to Rob and Evil Kenivel at yesterdays concert, Dave having recently escaped a bike crash with broken bones and a remarkable recovery himself. We play together, pray together and do what we can to look out for our Sisters and Brothers. Again a shout out to all the H.A.M.B. friends who are giving all the caring thoughts for Rob.-Sololobo

Rob is still in the hospital and things are day to day.We are 15 days out now and he had a drain tube put back in his stomach thru his nose yesterday. This is truly going to be a long haul for him.If his systems don't start working the Doctors are talking about surgery again.I left the posts alone over tech week but if I see it on the board I will update.I'm planning on going up there tonight.Later.....****
