Here's Dirty's WAY bad ass A bone!.. Check this out fella's....this car is going to be fucking killer!!!!!!!!! It already is in my eyes Tony
Is that a torsion bar suspension? Doesn't look like a leaf spring behind the axle. Cool idea if it is.
Tone- Thanks for the hook up......I'm sooo damn excited about the car finally being a roller cause it hasnt been since the late 50's/early 60's...When Big Chief and I got things in place and dropped it down off the jack stands at 4am i'm started yelling like Tuck in that clip when he fired his Hemi......lol The frame is a 32 that was under a roundy round car from waaaay back and set up by Lee Osbourne...The rear wheels are 20" 1937 International truck rims...They are HUGE...I was real hestinate about using them but i really dig the look esp since this body is sooooo cherry i'm not going to chop it....The car is going to have a real unique look.....hopefully more will follow when i get back on my feet....Thanks again! Dirty
The front suspension on this thing is trick. Oz uses actuall race car torsion bars on 'em. He has his old partner in Indy respline them and also has him spline the home made 'levers' used up front. Then those lever's go through a modified opening in the split bones. Real slick set up. Lyn Paxton's A roadster ( which was built by Oz as well) has a very similar set up, and thats seen many a mile.. The chassis on this car is REALLY unique and VERY well built.
No problem man.. As soon as Dirty get's settled down at his new place we'll get some more pics of it. The work to the inside of the rails where the torsion bars mount and adjust is real cool.. Oz is a VERY talented man......The torsion bar frames i've seen him build are works of art..
The T-bar setup looks very similar to mine. I'm using up my old leftover sprint car stuff. Osborn builds very nice cars. I used to visit his shop when he was in Jamestown, IN.
That looks amazing. I too would like to see more pics of the front end. Amazing car., or it shall be at least.
Its got a HEMI waiting to be set-up in between the rails.....I will def. break things down to get some detailed pics...The frame is truly a work of art! Thanks LEE!
Thanks Clark....Its funny cause i've been sitting on this car for a long time....It wasnt until i saw your 32 & Jr's (esp JR's...lol) at the Showdown when you guys 1st brought them out that lit the flame under my fatass again... So 'Thanks' guys for the inspiration!
