FINALLY got my new grill on my Merc! watcha think?

Mucho better Bob......always liked the original grills......I'd think twice about the hood ornament...but thats just me!

 

Cool beans, you going to the pomona swap meet today? Did Gene Winfield make that grille? It is the season of giving Did you have to lower the bench seat? What else do you need cause so far I've had most of what your swaping out, I'm lookin' for some T-bird seats too. Trashed

 

I used the stock grille in mine then made a new center piece
and frenched in 65 Mustang parking lights.

Yes it's a Winfield "floating wing". When I asked him about his Winfield wing,he looked at me and said"what the hell is that?". LOL! So I took him over to my car and he said,yes it's one of mine.

I had to remove them to install the grill,and I didn't like it. I've seen them like that,but the holes were filled. What you see is exactly what I was going for.

Cool as hell bob, now i've got a new back ground for the computer now. It might look cool with the hood ornament but i'm not sure if i'd risk it. looks nice though can't wait to see it finished.

used a damaged 49 s/s grille,but you have to have both
sides to do it correctly ---- because the 49's use stainless
steel no plating is needed.

bob, looks good!!! im a firm believer that sometimes less is more! i to am opting for the 49 parklights. i think they are just in there place in the vast area between the headlights and front bumper. the wing is something to definatelly hold on too. but the merc grill is my choice too!! although im opting for 53 desoto. nice work.
